And definitely a new red woody in my garden. It was supposed to be deep red D'Oh! The new red NOID is in the front, Hoki is in the back. I will elaborate on the differences tomorrow.

Hi Jasmin. Your noID seems to be semi-double, almost simple that rules out several possibilities. For instance, 'Kao' and 'Taiyo' are fully double. So it is none of those.
In my opinion: "Chinese Dragon' is a strong possibility: https://www.treepeony.com/prod...
Whatever it is, very nice one, Congrats ๐Ÿ‘

Jasmin, I love the color of the Night Cup, your grafted NC is showing purple in the pot already. I thought your Black Dragon Holds a Glorious Flower will be more full this year compare to last year, but I guess it takes time to reach the mature size.

Wow, tree peonies in both of your gardens are in full swing, Jasmin and Oscar! They are so gorgeous! Jasmin, love the color of Black Dragon! The Cup of Shining Night is very nice too. Oscar, I am just speechless! You truly have the best blooming tree peonies by far this year. They really respond to your care and attention. So sorry that they got rained on during their peak bloom.

Frank, Chinese Dragon is so gorgeous! I love the way you have it growing and towering over the retaining wall. What a beautiful effect!

Tracey, although the purple seedling is very striking, I am so in love with your pink lavender seedling. What a beauty! I can't take my eyes of it! I love the color and the form so much - how the petals scrunch and ruffle in layers toward the center, and the color fading of the petals toward the outer edges. The presentation appears to be really nice too. I totally can see why it is your favorite. Can you share its parentage?

Karen, the seedling is an open pollinated Angel Emily, likely parent is a neighboring suffruticosa fluffy pink seedling, though I can't be sure. Bloomed first last year, shared it with a few peony people I knew would tell me all that it lacked. It was well loved by each of them. And the minute I saw it, I didn't wonder if it was a good one, I knew it wasโ€ฆ.which is not normal for me.

This is extremely beautiful. Pink is my favorite color in TPs, I really love Hana-Kisoi I hope you can propagate this by grafting within a few years. Whatever cross happened I'd say it was a very successful one ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks Rey. The pink and lavender tones in tree peonies are by far my favorites too. It is my intention to propagate it. Hopefully it will be successful.

'Hana-Kisoi' is one of my tried and true favorites too. It also makes nice seedlings. It was one of my very first tree peonies. Saw it at a nursery in bloom in a pot and was mesmerized. Not many places carried tps at the time. Wasn't even should if I could grow it.
