Diana, that one is the most unusual color. It reminds me of milk chocolate. For three days this week, all of the flowers were cristate, but today it is single again....

I love the scapes on this purple!

It is tall (maybe around 5ft), and while I do not like it per se, it is useful for breeding tall ones. But today we came home from shopping the entire scape and all those buds was 2ft away from the daylily, flat on the grass. Perhaps the storm? Definitely not nibbled off, broken off in a single unit. A mystery. But I am now a bit paranoid about the other daylilies I actually do like.

Wish these storms would just stop already.

Bummer about the scape breaking, Orion. I've heard of them blasting when you get too much rain in a short period of time, but not just snapping. One time I lost a tall species lily to a neighbor's youngster who thought it would make a fine spear to play with. I'm hoping it's just a one-time thing.
