All I have left to do is get the hoses thrown up against the garage out of the way. I'm liable to trip over them under the snow where they are now.

Beautiful flats of plants. That kind of gardening is many months away for me. I'm looking forward to a few months of rest before starting the spring season running full speed. 3 large beds didn't get much weed control this past season so they will be the first ones I'll start on.

GOD bless and keep each of you.

Zu, I think you and Sue together are trouble. Yup, I would have thrown those bulbs in priority boxes and off they'd go. Some of these large companies need to get some common sense. But I'm sure they have tons of boxes printed up that say Brent and Becky on them, and that's all they use.

Trouble, Polly? Trouble for our bank balances maybe, Big Grin but I think we might just keep the local nurseries afloat in this bad economy, so I'm sure they like us.

Hurray! What a wonderful array of beautiful plants you got, Zuzu! Hurray!
The Clems are dazzling!!

You and Sue had such fun!

Nothing better than visiting nurseries, IMHO!!

And you California girls can keep the rest of us "in flowers" all winter long!

Yes, you are helping the economy, so all is good. But I would be afraid, very afraid, if the two of you were to take me shopping.

Im jealous ,planting beautiful flowers..Lucky girl..The shipping charges would have kept me from ordering ,The dh would have had a fit, easier to avoid his hissing fits about $$$ spent on flowers. Rolling on the floor laughing He likes the wintersowing thing Cheap, cheap Hilarious!

Karen ,great for you flipping that pile .what I need to do is to make more than 1 pile, instead of the 4ft by 6ft pile I have Hilarious! It would really help if I watered it once a week when it dosent rain.

Our snow is melting , raining above 40 Thumbs down

The whole family is heading off to Church for Margarets 90th birthday, that will make her day, showing us all off at church. Lovey dubby

Ah, Zuzu.

I enjoy the thought of you planting those new purchases! Bet you can still get dirt on your hands. When I get a chance to plant the next box of bulbs I just received (not from B&B) my gloves will be covered in cold mud, and my hands will be frozen. Hilarious!

Nice selections there; love those pansies.

They don't offer those pretty, frilly ones for Fall here, just for our fairly short Spring. I tell myself every year that I'm going to grow some from seed for the late season garden and haven't done so yet, but I finally found the ones in stock that I'd been hoping for, so I will do some this year. Howdy neighbor!

Yeah, lovely day, eh? And now the wind is kickin' as well...

Give Margaret an extra birthday hug (no need to tell her it's from us). Big Grin

Zuzu, do you ever order from easytogrowbulbs.com? They're a little closer to you and often have very nice prices. And they've always been super to deal with.

I bought tons of bulbs from them in Barb's co-op last year and was very disappointed. The tuberous Begonias were about the only thing that performed the way they should have. Most of the bulbs never came up or had been mislabeled. And they weren't fancy bulbs requiring lots of care. I have Freesias all over my garden. I know how to plant and grow Freesias, but the ones from EasyToGrow never came up at all.

*Really*. I'm completely shocked. I've yet to have a problem with their stuff. Sorry to hear your experience was so bad - I would only encourage you to contact them, they have been really responsive the few times I have. I've been ordering from them for about 7 years now.

You know, I hardly ever complain to a nursery. They're all hurting in this economy, so I never ask for refunds or replacements. I do stay away from them, however, which probably hurts them more in the long run. At any rate, I can't complain to them now. That co-op was a long time ago.

I agree I want to see them, too! Hurray!

*******

I may have to pot up the rest of these bulbs.....the rain just won't quit for any longer than three minutes at a stretch. It's been raining for days....
With every step we take through the yard we sink in about an inch or two, sometimes more(!)...what a mess! It's a blessing in disguise if a body can get out and plant tho', you know right away if your hole is going to be water-logged! Hilarious!
