They all sprouted within a day of each other.

I hope the fiber pot decomposes well for you to let the roots expand outwards.

I'm going to try growing this Japanese morning glory again. Note the different hypocotyl tissue colors (2 seedlings with pale green tissue and 1 with more purplish color). Hypocotyl tissue color sometimes can be used to predict flower color.

Variegated cotyledons is a good predictor that the true leaves may also be variegated.

Here is a late in life flower that opened the other day. It is on the same vine that made the huge flower earlier in its life.

Here is a Japanese morning glory I discovered in my seed stash. I completely forgot I had it. It promises to have variegated cicada shaped leave; flowers could be pale green or pale lilac color, with what is called a brushed color pattern, according to the translation of the Japanese description in the lower left corner of the photo.

The roots just grow through it- I had one in a plastic cup with a grandpa ott and it grew right through just fine
The peak of the mountain may have a nice view, but you can see the flowers bloom at it's base.

Awesome! I wonder if there if the pot has a little fertilizer. That would be pretty cool and beneficial.

At first I was going to use a different soil for the pot and biodegradable cup, but decided it was fine. At the very least, it saved that milky way's life when it was tore out Grin
Good luck with the new plants, though I doubt you'll need it. Exciting.

I wonder if they are marketing the yellow cultivar that was produced using genetic engineering. It's fun to see all the flower goodies on that website.

There are actually services that forward packages internationally- especially in Japan and other places with lots of unique items but not international shipping. It normally depends on the cost of the item, so maybe you might want to check out a forwarding service!

@Gerris2 - your seeds from eBay are great!!!! And THANK YOU for the NGA bonus seeds. https://www.ebay.com/str/takin...
Decided to start with 2-4 seeds per variety. And the first to sprout was 'Stream of Kamo River', 2 of 4 have sprouted so far! Filed/nicked, soaked for ~24 hrs, and planted on Leap Day 2024 - Just 3-4 days!!! Moved plants from humidity chamber to diffuse bright light to "green" them up. Can't wait for the others to sprout.

Yaaaaayyyyyy! You're gonna love the blue color in Stream of Kamo River! You are getting great results! I'm glad you are growing it. I may take a break from growing it for a season to focus on some other mg projects.
