I have a jade plant that needs repotted, 2 begonias-1 with emotional attachment, and a paddle plant for same reason. I can put 2 plants in spare bedroom when we move and maybe 2 in the bathroom on back of toilet. My room only has one window (spoken for by the cat) and plants not allowed in other rooms due to the dirt setting off allergies. Soooo..... unless I rehome the jade plant my space is spoken for.

I have been there a couple times as the Paph guy is on one end of the Gold Country Greenhouses. The only thing keeping me from filling up my whole car are the prices. I always fall madly in love with the several hundred $$ plants. Urban Vogue was a seedling for $45. That was a lot for me at the time but the picture was so pretty.

Just catching up with this thread, as I really don't have anything new to post. Things still blooming that I posted in December, though thanks to the cool and rainy weather we've had.

Ted, your Aliceara is just gorgeous and makes me nostalgic. I'm sure I've bought that one at least twice at Trader Joe's where thankfully they aren't terribly expensive. They last maybe a year or two for me, seem to not like the heat at all here. So too bad I didn't have one this year, it would be happy with this weather.

We're waiting on a very lusty storm front to come through now, and I found this crazy little Vanda lying forlorn on the ground having blown off it's spot in the hoop house. The wind is gusting to 40ish now and the front isn't here yet!

The little Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' stops me in my tracks with the beautiful fragrance and it has huge, generous flower stems this time that remind me of hyacinths.

I should have added these points:
I have been growing orchids for quite some time. My current situation is strictly under lights. My plants go outside for the summer starting around May 1st and come back inside during the month of October.
My collection consists mostly of Paphiopedilums, a few Phrags, Cattleyas, Zygopetalums and of course, Phalaenopsis!

Very pretty Lucy, very pretty!
Reminds me quite a bit of, good gosh, the old name was Lc. Rojo. Cattleya aurantiaca x Laelia milleri. But now aurantiaca is a Guarianthae I think. My brain seems to have shut down for tonight.
But the lip on yours seems wider, fuller. I like it a lot.💕❤️👍

Welcome, Nick. We'll look forward to seeing pictures of your nice collection.

I grow my orchids mainly outdoors in my pool cage, year round. Except of course we do get a few short cold snaps even down here, halfway down the Florida peninsula. Looks like next Wednesday night will see me schlepping my orchids into the house for a night or two.

I'm growing mainly heat-tolerant and sun-loving varieties - Brassavola, Dendrobium, a few Cattleya, Vandas, Miltassia, Encyclia and one struggling group of a big Phal and some mini-Phals on a cork lined wreath mount. I have Spathoglottis and Epidendrum radicans growing out in the garden as well.

*Forgot about the three big plants of Phaius and a few Cymbidiums also out in the garden. It's tough to get a bloom out of the Cyms here but I do have a spike in the works on one of mine now as we've had a very cool, rainy winter here so far.
