I am gobsmacked. This iris, Butterlicious has SIX blossoms all open at once. Three branches and three spurs with at least 11 buds.

Do you have any cultivars that perform thia well? Good grief!

...not that I am complaining. I LOVE it. The other two stalks are about the same amount.

(I had to Photoshop out a bloomed out branch, because I haven't pruned ANYTHING, because I can't, really. It'd be tricky enuff for me to do that photo edit with my right hand, but I can't use that right now. Also MM has a taller stalk than appears, but for some reason they are all flopped. )

Too tired to go out today...maybe this weekend. Lots more to come, including another look at two white seedlings .

The 20 mph winds today flattened a lot of my bloom stalks and dried out a lot of blooms. Phooey!

SDB Glebe Brook (J Burton II) bloomed today. A couple of other blooms has 4 falls, but this often happens with our wierd weather. The rest are fine.

My garden is pretty much at peak bloom.
