Lovely lilacs! We had a dwarf bush in my childhood home in Toronto. I've heard there are some unusual varieties in Ontario due to a local lilac breeder.

Hiyamakki and Oscar, outstanding blooms. The colors seem really intense this year. Keep the pics coming.

Glad you're feeling better LG! Ive had 3 sets of houseguests back to back over the past 2 weeks and haven't had time to go through posts or really to enjoy my garden. I've just been running out to cut flowers between rainstorms.

FFE today for me on Hot Chocolate. Got it and Chocolate Soldier in hopes one of them was the fabulous peony I saw at the Deere-Wiman house in Moline, Illinois. Like them both, but neither is the one on display at the mansion.


FFO on Coral Sunset...at least I think it's Sunset. Just remember that it's Coral Something. Very much like Paula Fay in form and habit, just not color.

It's open today, the second bud is also almost fully open now I will take more pictures tomorrow. These colours and aesthetics are new to me; I am not really a person who likes pink, but I love this one The Necklace with Precious Pearls is also opening. Hopefully, it will fully open tomorrow. Now, with these two peonies, I can see that the Central Planes aesthetics are different from Japanese aesthetics
