Holly is that the one called Flap Jack? It is beautiful.
Kin on my way to the database to approve the photos. Can't wait to see them.
Janet, they haven't invaded your property? Hope they don't find their way into your work shop, that could be disastrous. Blinking

I DO love that kalanchoe!
Lynn, so far they've stayed out of the studio. I think they don't like the dust. This is a GOOD thing!

Thank heavens, I was getting very worried about the havoc they could cause with the pottery. Big Grin

Nice link Lynn. Will check it out better when I get more time.

Oooo Holly - nice Kalanchoe! Will that be an outdoor or indoor plant for you? I tried one outside one summer and it did great. Brought it in for the winter and it wasn't happy in the house.

You'll have to show us some pictures of your gnome invasion too. I have spotted one riding a snail at our house. They are apparently good at taming wild animals. Recently I have spotted several that have started cultivating semps though, so they might not be all bad. I'll have to see if I can sneak up on them and get some pictures. My DH thinks one of them has a drinking problem because we always see him laying face down in the dirt.

Kin, your pictures of the semps above are gorgeous! We finally got a few days of nice rains here and I'm able to get a shovel in the ground again. So now I can get out the and weed, weed, weed.

Rolling on the floor laughing Chris, hope the drinking problem doesn't spread to the rest of them. Not sure how that would affect overall behavior. Pour little guy. I have a tall, skinny frog that I keep finding laying face down. Never thought about the reason. I'll have to see if I catch him at it.
Well the semps here are finally starting to get to work making chicks, most of them anyway. I have never paid attention to how long it takes for the chicks to start making roots of their own.

Sedum "Chocolate Drop" - I was wondering if any of you are growing this one. Mine was looking good until something started eating on it. We've had Japanese Beetles here this week and they are like some sort of plague. I have put out several traps for them and they are filling them up quickly. So glad to see them some place besides eating my plants. LOL.

Goldfinch, The kalanchoe will be outside for the summer and then have to move inside for the winter. I think this year I might try using my seed starting shelves to overwinter some of my plants we will see how that works. I think I will try that this year with my sedum wreath if I still have one when I get home.
When I got it back to Poppy's house I couldn't find a tag on it so I don't know which variety is is. If I get back to the store where I bought it and they have any left I will see but there weren't many of them when I picked it up 2 weeks ago so I don't think that will be likely.
I did look for pics of my infestation but didn't find any good shots in the files. Won't be home for several days yet as we will be in Fl. for most of this week yet.

Does it help to us the rose systemic granules Clint? That will only kill bugs that eat the plants.
Patti has Chocolate Drop. She entered a photo in the database of a young plant. The leaves are a beautiful color with lovely serrated edges.
How long have you had yours Clint?

Holly it is important that you post picture of that infestation so others will be able to identify them if they show up in their gardens. Whistling

Lynn,

I got it in a co-op last year. It over-wintered in a pot on the patio. It's a nice color. It seems small to me but it probably is because of where I have it. I'm moving it to a better location this week.

Lynn,

I got a Sedum today called "Bertram Anderson." The local nurseries have everything 50% off this week so I couldn't pass this up! I see it's already in the database but I'll post some photos of it for you.
