Oh, these don't hold water. And they have a strong stem--no staking required. In crossing, I believe the up facing is recessive to down facing. I can get you pollen next year. I have plenty of open pollenated seeds that I just collected if anyone would like some, let me know. There's a lot of things that can be done around here, plenty to work with. But I can only do so much and my programs always come first.
Got the lawn tractor running like new. It's wet out there.
Dave: Oh, that's not my yard. Just a screen grab to get a laugh. After waiting a week for warranty service for a seat safety switch on the tractor, it up and rained nearly 2 inches so it's pretty soft, but not mud like that.
Phew Lorn. I thought maybe you got new tires on the lawn tractor or something.
My son Blake, who is 15 mowed his grandparents lawn. They have a zero turn mower. His first time using it he tore up a few spots. The controls are at the hands on theirs and he had a hard time feathering the wheels
Dizzy Snowflake Thunderpaws Puss, feigning unconcern in the daylilies whilst secretly keeping tabs on the dinner lady out in the garden. Wouldn't want her to lose the way back to the kitchen!
Your cat has a very attentive gaze in that pic. I would wonder who wanted to name her "Puss", but I'd rather not......
I do miss the neighbor's cat visiting me in the garden. Not sure where she went to now, as I haven't seen her in a while.
Here's another fun pic I came across while looking at inflorescence structure. It kinda reminds me of my avatar.
This one, too:

How cute is this! Over the last few days with the weather being so nice and all, I've been outside a lot doing a variety of odds and ends to fall work. Turns out that I and a chipmunk have struck up quite a relationship. I'm busy doing my work and he's busy doing his. If I'm in the garden. he's in the garden. If I'm working on a table, he's on the table. If I take a break on the porch, so does he, as he smells the dirt on my shoes. He'll leave for a couple minutes, then return to see if I'm ready to go back to work. And, he's had every opportunity to steal bulblets and scales but not once did he ever touch a single one.. I've learned a lot about chipmunk life the last few days. .As long as he behaves, he's ok with me. Today he put some pumpkin seeds in my bowl of peat moss.
What's amazing to me is how clean he got these seeds, presumably a habit he has so they don't stick together as a clump in his winter storage cache. But in my own mind, I can't help but believe this little guy brought them to me as his part of trying to helpful or at least to show his way of participating.
