Thanks, Della. Creativity is not my strong suit, but once in a while I get an idea. When this happens, I have to roll with it,mainly because these ideas come through once every five years or so Whistling

Really nice, Tracey! I've made larger photos of my stuff, and in the back of my mind always wondered about what a "canvas" is.... Does it have the look of a photo, but like it is printed on a painter's canvas and over a block of wood(or something)? A matte finish photo on a block? What is the difference compared to a regular glossy or matte finish photo?

By the way, I had some pics put on metal magnets. Some are fine, but some had color and almost texture like changes due to the metallic back showing through.

Also made calendars in the past:

Thanks, Rick. I like your calendar idea too. A couple of different years I have made them, probably about 6 or 7 years between them. It kind of depends if I feel inspired/have enough of what I would consider "good enough" photos. I made some commemoration calendars for 2017, so to speak, of Dr. Griesbach field OT lilies, actually mailed him one.

Rick, you have such nice photos! Using them in different ways as you have, makes great sense. Many of your seedling pics would make fantastic specimens for creativity also.

The canvas is a canvas paper, so there is a painting like feel to it in person. A bit of texture and brush like look to it. I have the photo stretch onto the sides but you don't have to do that. In fact, the middle canvas I half wondered if it might not look better if I hadn't stretched it to the sides. It might have a more centered appearance, like the true photo does. I've looked at it enough now Hilarious! that I
am used to it and it is just fine:)

Sorry 'bout that. I hardly ever use the batch photo options for resizing, etc. on my editing program. Must have had the compression set very high and didn't realize it. So.... nice photos with crappy detail. Thumbs down

Anyway, it's Delosperma basuticum, and you will see it in commerce as D. congestum, also. It survives our cold, fickle, and wet winters better than D. nubigenum.

Thanks Rick. I need to find some of that for my table rock garden. We have had cold (nights in the high teens) followed by loads of rain this winter. Backyard has been flooded over several times with at least one lily bed completely under water at times. The cold has killed a couple of named Delospermas on the table garden.

The D. nubigenum growing on it survived but looks ratty. So it sounds like D. congestum would be a better choice. They certainly look similar. There will be a small garden tour visiting in late April so I will be scrambling to get things looking good.

Oh, Connie, all this weather talk I can't decide who's had the worse winter! Here's something a little brighter than rain and fog:

We have a Scientific and Natural Area in Minnesota called Blue Devil Valley, named after the skinks that live there. Lotsa interesting stuff grows there, too. Check out the sepal tips on these Oxalis violacea: they're orange!

I made a couple crosses with 'Awesome' last summer (after all the hype it created at the show). I had just started a baby bulb of it in the Fall of 2015 so the plant was too small for both directions.
