Hopefully hope and Eros beat the genetics and live passed 13 .. lilies mom dad and sister didn't make it the long life Yorkies usually do.. hopefully Riley had more of a factor in lifespan for these guys

Let's hope they do live a long time.....Our elkhound lived the longest....17. She was a plump girl who never got any exercise....she refused to walk....just sat down or plopped in the road, but she had a very sweet disposition....maybe that should tell us something!

Cute photo! I don't know, Lucy.....Elke was never a grumpy dog....very happy, loved people & other animals.....she tried to love the cat, who was a real monster!

Yesterday, Nicki & I were walking down to the lake behind one of the dams....a large coyote came out of the woods onto the road.....I had a walking stick with me, & I raised it....yelled 'come' to Nic, & pulled her leash ...she actually listened to me for a change....I don't think she saw the coyote...she didn't react at all. Anyway, I was back today....nothing....quiet walk. A friend in my art class is going to MA tomorrow to get a cavapoo pup.....I looked them up online....soooo cute! Just like a stuffed animal!

Marilyn, is that a Cavalier Spaniel/Poodle mix?

Yes, Deb...Cavalier King Charles & toy poodle cross....just too cute! Met a friend today walking her elderly Boston terriers.....a few weeks ago, she was walking one of them where I saw the bear.....a couple were walking a pit, who pulled out of its collar, left 3 scratches on the Boston's neck, & bit Ann in the hand.....People were totally uncooperative, but Ann got their license # & gave it to the police, they traced him & got the name of the vet....man wouldn't even give that info to Ann....then she was able to call their vet & find out if the dog had its vaccines....I've seen several pits being walked there & they've been very well-behaved....guess it's the people who need training!

No excuse for that with the dog biting.
