Allison, so sorry to hear that. Hard to see them sick. Not sure how I missed that. I just love reading about the pets.

It is just to nasty out to stay outside so my friend brought her dog Zack over for an indoor playdate. Out two dogs had a grand time with each other as usual.

Harper is starting to fall more and more...she's 8 will be 9 in April. I remember that's what happened with my other Dane Sabrina, she got to the point where she was falling all the time. They lose their strength in the back end, she has trouble holding her poop and the other day I noticed she was having trouble squatting to pee. She went down hard this morning getting up the two steps at the door I hate the thoughts of any snow storms this year, she's just too big for me to have to hold or help up.

Thanks Rita, it's tough cause I know what is coming...Sabrina was a lot older when she started to fail...it goes fast once it starts, nothing they can really do for them.
Heading out to buy some hospital pads to put under the blanket I keep on the couch...found a mess on it this morning...seems like she doesn't even know she has to go at times.

Ronnie, that is very sad....that's why Ollie was euthanized.....he no longer could stand up....there's nothing you can do but be glad you gave him the very best life possible.

Sad that with the larger dogs they have shorter lifespans compared to the smaller types. Papillons mostly live to be 16 and some lots longer.

So really sorry, it is a heartbreak.

Lily and I went to the dog park earlier this afternoon. We went with our friends. But we were the only ones there until one other dog did show up.

for all the dogs. Mona is now on my lap. She and Mugs look for warm places to curl up now that the cold has shown up.

Ronnie is there a Christmas tree shop out there?.. there extra large puppy pads are very good.. with lily taking the diararic.. need those now .. and granted I have to wash the floor if she misses.. but on the most part these are the best I have seen

I love Chewy.com free shipping. I don't have any problems getting to $49.00 needed for free shipping as I get dog food there at chewy as well as treats and other things.

It was over 70 today, so nice to be outside. I worked out in the garden and I have so many bundles of sticks and other yard waste all bundled up for the pickup. Have it mostly piled up at the end of my driveway as it is too early to put out by the curb.

So I really wanted to take Lily to the dog park earlier this afternoon as it really was such a lovely afternoon. But I couldn't go as I can not get out of my driveway until I put the yard waste out by the curb.

So maybe tomorrow afternoon after the common Monday garbage pickup I can put put my stuff and then be able to move my car and go to the dog park.

Just started raining now and it is so dark. No more working out in the garden even though I didn't finish all that needed doing today.
