Finally got my guys groomed yesterday.. the flower shop we got our wedding done with.. has a contest every Tuesday and I won a free grooming.. they just opened last week.. so they got a buy one get one from us

Oh, no.....some pits are such good dogs, others obviously have no training. My neighbor's bullies came into the yard yesterday while I had Nicki on the leash....there was a lot of snarling & growling, & they are usually very friendly with one another.....guess it was the leash & Nicki's fresh mouth. Anyway, I put her in the car & told the girls to go home.....they wouldn't budge until I had walked them to their door....owner came out & apologized....said he forgot they were out...well, since they have 3 boys under 6, maybe he did!

Today I took Lily to the Vets to get her Lyme Vaccine booster and get her nails trimmed. She didn't like either much but was good. She did like the treats that the nice vet gave her.

Nicki was not happy with me....left her alone too long....we walked just before the sun set.....I'm really looking forward to more daylight!

Yeah dark days are tough

Yes, more daylight. I want more daylight also. Hate it getting dark at 4:30.

Cloudy days don't help.....our sun now sets at 4:19....that's the earliest....we'll be picking up more light in a few days!

I went grocery shopping this afternoon and one of the things I bought was chicken wings. Lily has already eaten so much today as she got extra treats today on our exercise walk. So she only needs to eat a light dinner.

So I just gave her raw chicken wing to eat and she is happy. She does love those saw wings. Chomps them right up.

Cooked bones of any kind are of course a big no no. Especially cooked chicken or any kind of poultry bones. But she just chomps up the raw chicken wings.

So I tried to go off for a long exercise walk for Lily. But so windy and nasty out we only lasted 45 minutes and quickly came back home.

Dogs didn't stay out for long that's for sure, downright cold today

Nicki was groomed today, so hasn't much of a coat left....will try to get her to wear a doggy coat on our walk tomorrow......The picture in my mind of Lily eating a chicken wing is too funny!

Lily loves her winter coats, they keep her much warmer.

She has gotten really good at eating those raw chicken wings. Complete with crunch crunch sound effects from chewing up the bones.

Took Lily for a nice 3 1/2 mile walk today. Thursday and Friday supposed to be very cold here so I thought I had better get at least a decent walk in today. I really doubt we will be wanting to go on any long walks those next two days.

I had the same idea, Rita, but there were icy patches all over today, so we had 2 shorter than usual walks.....Poor Nicki will not understand why we will not be walking, but just too dangerous in the super cold, super windy days to come......

Lucky that there has been no ice and snow here as yet. It really was nice for walking even if a bit chilly. But not so bad that I didn't want to be outside.

Terrible temps forecasted for the next two days. I am sure we will not be lingering outdoors!
