Sorry about the placement of the pictures. Hadn't done anything with my camera for a while and have to learn all over about downloading from pictures...not the ipad..

Very nice pictures Veronica ,..the area with the trees is like an Oasis,..who does the figure represent?,..are those white Lilies scented?.

The figure is actually an angel..Yesterday she got blown over in a storm and her body was so heavy that it broke her wings..They were made to slide over a thing in the back and it broke a portion of the wing..We can fix it as soon as the rains clear up. We will glue the wing back together with E6000 glue and then we are going to bury a concrete block in the ground and glue the angel onto the block. My husband told me she would blow over but I thought she wouldn't .. I was kind of red faced when I had to tell him she had fallen...
The lilies are some that survived the onslaught of the rabbits and have actually bloomed. They are not fragrant..Also the phlox in the picture with the lilies has been partially eaten by the rabbits.. They have eaten the whole stalk and bloom on them. I got some fox urine and think it made some leave but I continue to see a few. They and the moles have really gotten on my last nerve this year.

Ah an Angel,..very good!,..here i was thinking up all kinds of Greek figure or a figure that represents flowers or the like,..an Angel suits all occasions and locations.

Oh oh,..red faced indeed well you wouldn't imagine it blowing over,..at least you can repair it.

Never had critters in the garden here,..apart from a family of Hedgehogs which are very welcome as they eat slugs and do no harm,..Rabbits and Moles must be a nightmare,..i would have to take drastic measures,..like kill the Moles and eat the Rabbits

I hear you Glengarry. Drastic measures are called for..We used to eat rabbit when we were first married and I told my husband we may have to do it again...lol The moles are a nuisance so I am getting some cats next year and may be a rescue dog.

I do like my angel like that. She looks like a shy girl but I paid for those wings..so.......

Force yourselves to eat some or all of those rabbits,..very tasty boiled then finished off in the pan,..good thinking getting a cat and a rescue dog,..cats like moles .

Yes we have to pay for Angel Wings,..people who don't want Angels never see one.

Great idea protecting them from the rabbits,..i would never have thought of that,..uploading tonight is a tad slow for me as well.

I made chicken wire cages for a lot of mine one year. Now my cats are doing a good job keeping them out.

I finally gave up and took down the barriers..Seems like most left when I got the fox urine. However and big bad one devoured my red lily after I removed the preen bucket..I havent seen any since Sunday but the fields and whole area is full of them.

Sorry to read about your red lily,..the fox urine seems to work for most of them,..Veronica you don't have to go out shooting,..get a wooden stake and drive it into the ground close to a rabbit run/track,..tie some copper wire to the stake then leave a loop of the wire in the middle of the track/run,..the rabbbit gets its head trough the loop or noose finishes him off,..hubby will skin and clean it out while you get the roasting tray ready,..mmmmmm tasty wabbit

Your gardens are beautiful, Veronica. I know how you feel about the pests eating everything because I have the same problem. It's really frustrating to walk through the plants and see them laying on the ground or just not there at all.
I got some relief this year using large, heavy black pots that Lowes or Home Depot had in their trash piles. DH cut the bottoms out, and we set them over the plants which has helped a lot. Putting the small ends down first gives the plant room to expand.

Back again posting a few pictures from my not so successful gardening year. We gardeners always look forward to the next year's garden..when I got home from vacation mid July we had had 10 inches of rain in a week.. Needless to say the weeds were overpowering. Then I developed some virus and suffered from bug bites. Feeling much better but each time I go weeding I get bitten again by Mosquitos. I am looking for a bee keepers suit for gardening......
