Adam,
I am amazed at you. Very well done. Now what are you going to do with all of them. Do you have an outlet for selling? Opening an EBay account? I too am going to be in a similar situation next year or so. With some 30 different kinds of Asclepiads, 20 different kinds of Aloe hybrid. Tons of Dyckia platyphylla, and Hechtia seedlings. I had a high rate of germination rate of but are extreamly slow growing of all the plants so far that I have started for seed.
My friends here are like family and you can't sell to family. So I show what extras I will have next year. EBay gets the rest.

Here is a pic of my Aloe polyphylla repotted into a bigger pot. It needed one.

Stush2019 I will try to sell localy and on ebay most likely in a year or two.

Out of the new batch of seedlings my favorites are Aloe dichotoma and Pachypodium brevicaule.

My seeds (from Mesa Garden) are starting to sprout. Took 2-3 weeks!

Stush, the little Aloe polyphylla arrived today in great condition. Your packaging job was great! I gave it a light drink and will let it acclimate a bit. Thank You!

Reading about your guy's successes made me want to try to start some succulents from seed. Is there an ideal time of year to sow the seeds or can I do it anytime? I live in rainy washington state so most of my succulents are grown as houseplants.

Seeds are sprouting, do I keep misting every day? When do I start cutting back on the water?

That's the hard part. Too much, they rot, too little, they fall over and die. Mist just a little. You have to feel youself when too much or too little. When they form their first two true leaves, you can transplant into their own small containers. Much care taken not to disturb the roots as little as possible.

Hello @tatyana Welcome! to ATP! I live in Seattle and have recently decided to only do hardy succulents...I have some "babies" that I can't get rid of yet, so there will be a couple pots that come back indoors this winter.
I'm hoping to keep several outdoors under a cover for the rain - they are against a south facing cement wall, so I'm thinking they should do just fine - I'm hoping so!!! I tip my hat to you.
I haven't tried from seed yet, but I agree this has been interesting to read about!! Thumbs up

Hi @gg5 I'm so glad that I am not the only one that is growing succulents in out rainy Washington state!

This is my first year growing tender succulents so I'm kind of nervous about how they will overwinter inside the house.
What time of the year are you bringing them inside?
What made you want to make the switch to just the hardy succulents?

I have some hens and chicks growing in my yard and some sedums as well. What other succulents manage to stay alive in the Washington winter?

Sorry I have so many questions. I just dont know anybody in Washington who has experience with succulents. Smiling

I have not ordered from Mesa yet. Cooling off now till spring. My Aloe poly seeds just came in today from China. Looks good so far. Neat packages of 20 each. Planted 20 today doing nothing extra. Next plant 20 more after soaking in warm water with Rootone. Then wait a week to see what happens.

90% of their seeds have already sprouted, in less than a month. And it took almost 2 mos to ship to me!

That is a most remarkable success rate. Only 10 % loss. I am happy with 40 % germination rate. Good seed makes a big difference but so does good growing.

I moved some of my seedlings to my plant table outside.
To protect them from being burned by the sun I put them between the pots of the plants that were already used to the sun. I'm using those plants as nurse plants for the seedlings.

I moved a few more seedlings outside they were part of a bonsai variety mix so I'm not entirely sure what I have.
