I have one that always seems to wait till we go on vacation at the end of July to bloom. The frustrating part is that it is one I REALLY want to see: Rolling Raven!

Betty, it's a rebloomer so if you miss the first blooms you may get to see the reblooms.

Elizabete, are you sure that's LIVING IN LUXURY? For me it's more of a soft creamy melon and distinctive looping ruffles at the throat and deep pie crust ruffles along the petal edges. It's one of my favorites. Mine has not started blooming yet but here are some shots from previous years.
http://cubits.org/Daylilies/db... Is your new or have you seen yours look this way? Of course our nights are still pretty cool too so any that I do have right now are not opening right so I won't even take pictures of them yet.

Hi, Sue,

It really is Living in Luxury, and certainly doesn't look like this normally. But LIL has been blooming off and on since January, and hasn't yet realized that it's safe to come out in its usual garb. : ) Here is what it looked like last summer in June http://cubits.org/Daylilies/th... I make a point of taking pictures of all the blooms, so that I'm reminded of which ones I may need to replace, since I'm getting rather impatient by those that aren't cold morning openers.

I wondered whether you, too, were having cool weather. I always thought Sebastopol was a tad warmer than Marin. In any case, I just hope we're not in for a repeat of last year's non-summer!

All the best - Elizabete

Yep, that's the LIL I love for sure! I do hope the nights warm up in time for most of my daylilies. We have only been here for a couple of months so the cooler nights are new for me, it's about 4-6 degrees cooler than San Jose was. So this will be EMO judgement time for the daylilies!

I have a few today. First my favorite, WINTER ORCHID. For some reason I just love this daylily!

APACHE SUNRISE - First thing in the morning and later around noon. I'm afraid this first scape has really suffered -- very short, and it's very popular with the pests. Things should improve after this first round.

HOG HEAVEN

KATHERINE CALDWELL - Early and around noon -- and the color actually did look different later. Love this one!

And finally, this mini is supposed to be LITTLE PETER PIPER, but it looks nothing like all the pictures I've seen of LPP. Does anyone know what this little guy really is? I would dearly love to know!

Winter Orchid and Hog Heaven are stunning. Katherine Caldwell is wonderful with the changing color. AS is not so bad-I can still tell what it is and it will improve do don't fret.

Really nice blooms. I really like Hog Heaven. Maybe once LPP has a few more blooms it will start looking more like it's supposed.

Lots of nice blooms. Keith and I have communicated and swapped flowers for several years and he really has come a long way. I have to take our friends from Scotland to the airport this morning, six weeks really went fast. Kathleen will be down in the dumps for a few days because it will be two years before they come again. I took 35 photos yesterday, here are a few
