It did not feel like 65 today. Way too windy and it was raining sideways. My umbrella was no help at all.

I saw the sun for a short while before It went down and I was blinded! **insert emotion with sunglasses here**.

We got a light snow flurry this morning and a brief glimpse of the sun this afternoon, 32 degrees now.

I learned how to competently drive in a few inches of snow. Glaze ice? Nobody sane can drive in that stuff! But since I don't drive at all any more, it's a moot point for me.

I've lived in snowy areas more than I've lived in non-snowy areas, so I can hold my own. It isn't as fun as it used to be though. I'm not about to drive in heavy snow here because our road is dangerous, even when it's dry.

We got a little bit of snow today, but it didn't amount to anything, and didn't stick. I like those kinds of snow showers! It's very windy though, so it's really cold.

Ahh, not just ice but glaze ice! Is that the shiny kind?

Yep, tis. I think rough ice isn't all that bad to drive on if you are careful--and don't run into the kind of idiots we have on the roads here. But when it melts and refreezes? Owie. Like trying to walk on Vaseline, so why people around here think they can try driving on it is beyond me. {{shakes head}}

We have same problem here. There is not that much snow and it is a navy town so lots of people from all over the country and most are very young.
People say to me,' Virginian's don't know how to drive!' I say, 'where did you see a Virginian?' LOL.

High 70's these past few days, southern California gets ready for the Rose Bowl parade with the best weather so folks watching from states that start with the Letter M are enticed to move here. It's a beautiful time for a gentle hike with the hubs! (He took this pic!)

Planted bareroot roses this weekend, just arriving in local nurseries. We think of January as spring, I believe.
