Hi everyone, I am home, this is who I spent 4 wonderful days with.
Lucy's (baby) mommy and daddy behind me(my Granddaughter Megan) my other granddaughter Sarah,my youngest son Robin
me, Lucy dog Cooper, D-I-L Debbie, her husband, my eldest son Roger
Since you got it years ago it may be Ida.I had that one for years until it died in one of our hurricanes. From then until now all of mine have been seedlings or cuttings from seedlings.
I got it from you three years ago, and if "Ida" was gone by then, well, we'll never know! I remember some people said they could tell by the blossom which "arborea" they have. Or you have!!!
Ida was/is a selection by Tonny Hansen.I imported the cuttings in 2000.The only difference I saw between Ida and any other Arborea was a slight cream color to Ida's blooms.Since losing Ida everything I have has been seedlings of seedlings.
JT, is that Ida in photo? Mine looks like that but I am not able to discern the difference when I see photos of the "different" arboreas. Seedling of a seedling works for me!
No Brenda, that is a picture of a seedling. There are actually more differences in the leaves of the different Arboreas than in the flowers. They vary from serrated to smooth edges.
I am also going to be doing some housekeeping as well as making a few changes.
We have far too many extra forums that have started over the past year. Most of this stuff should have been posted in this (Blooms and Chat) forum.
