Hi Susie. yep, they are really special and different. For any dawg lover and even likely ones who don't, one day with these 'folk' and there is no goin' back. Nobody can argue this with me and Inky would just say, "mom, forgive them, ingnorance and stooopidity are 2 different things" (he is just so wise).

Inky says that if Charlie is going to be at the spa date, Lexie should check in with him first and after. He's not real happy about this extravagance thing she seems to enjoy.

Hi back at ya, Jamie and Inky.
I was talking to Lexie. She was getting pretty wound up. Mini Haboob coming in this evening and the wind seems to invigorate her, gets her anxious. So I was telling her calmly that we will travel one day so she can meet Inky and sit on the porch with him. We were speaking la francais of course since she doesn't speak l'englaise. Her eyes continued to linger on mine, she devoured my words and I feel she and Inky were having a telepathic experience. Oui? About 1/2 hr ago.

I will make sure this girl doesn't become spoiled and high maintenance. Visits to the spa are just for a way to get some exercise and stimulation (ooops*) during these very hot summer months. Going outside for play is dangerous in the heat. La Spa is air-conditioned. The staff keeps a close eye on the guests. Intimacy is not allowed in the group atmosphere.

Well, Jamie, yes I was around Bert but I have a few friends that have standards also. My Pepper was a Springer Spaniel.

Springers are great Boo...very beautiful and affectionate (but ... well, ....not poodles). Post a picture please, I will teach Pepper to talk (maybe even some french).

Becky, I am so sorry, I didn't read the 'was' in your comment on Pepper. Then Susie told me Pepper is on the rainbow bridge, That's a good place, I have several dawgs there that Pepper no doubt plays with. Still post pictures if you have some and accept my apology and sincere condolence. Only those who have loved dawgs can understand how it is when they must leave.

She was the most affectionate dog I have ever owned and I've had one all of my life until June 2010.

I'm not ready for another dog right now but will get one when the time is right.

My computer crashed and I'll have to show you her photo when I get my new one and all the saved photos next week.

Now I'm crying too. What a year we had when Spike, Bert and pepper all died within months of one another.

The night after Pepper died, I wrote all the memories I could think of in a word doc so I would never forget anything. I miss her more than words can tell.

Lexie has been going stir crazy. Hmmmm. "stir crazy". After watching her last night I can see where that term may have originated. She was running in circles after her tail "stir" "crazy". It's so hot it's tough on her to play outside and she doesn't really like it. So we make due and play in the )small( house.

Today I took her au Spa. $16 for 5 hours. Early morning outdoor play with about 15 other dogs. Shaded area with play gym, swimming pool. When it heats up the pack goes inside to cool off, watch Animal Planet on TV, etc.

When I dropped her off I stayed for about 15 minutes to watch her be introduced into the pack (about 15 big dogs) that were already there. I'll tell you this operation has handling dogs, big and little, down to a science. It's a ballet.

She had a great time and is sleeping it off.

Inky, She met two new girlfriends. Shannon and Carley. No Charley today. Her German Shepherd and Great Dane friends were there but no Charley. She didn't miss him. She had such a great time with the girls!

I'm with Lexi ... going stir crazy! I'm so glad she likes the spa.
