I guess, nowadays/ this month everyone concentrates more on their gardens and Orchids step a bit into the background.....
Around here the keikies on my Ascocentrum garayi are now pretty much open, so here is an update.
If got some blooming...just gotta get the pictures. If the weeds would co-operate I'd have more time to do that.
And with 11 acres....guess who's butt is gonna be sitting on a mower alot now.
But...rather be doing that than alot of other things I can think of.
11 acres of grass? That is a lotta stuff to cut!!
I have a very small yard here with small borders, but the weeds are ridiculously healthy!
Ok back outside to pull and dig!
Thanks.
Both Encyclias are lovely! I would probably be happy as can be with the scent on the cordigera!
Cute Cherry Blossom, Bert!
Regarding the Vandas not blooming - surely they get all the sun, water and fertilizer under your care. They probably just wait for the hot Summer days to spike.

Well, after weeks of keeping me in suspense, my B.David Sander X Rhyncholaelia Digbyana has flowers! It's just a bit of an anti-climax as they look like large versions of Richard Mueller. Pale delicate yellow and quite plain. I really was hoping for the fringed lip of the Digbyana. Just a very slight fragrance so far, too.
Bl. Anduril 'Krull-Smith' is in full flower, I am so glad not to have missed it entirely. These blooms are not quite this bright a red, the camera has enhanced it. More of a soft "peony" red, just the color of the prom dress I am sewing for my neighbor's daughter.

The Bl. Krull-Smith is lovely. Very showy indeed. My David Sander X has not bloomed for me yet. I'm anxious to compare it to yours. I just looked it up again and it is still not registered.

I was moving some stuff around, when I saw this one blooming right against the window, on a fairly short Spike. This is Cattleya Janice Evans 'Sweet Sixteen'.
Laelia mixta is in bloom again
And some blooms on the Dendrobium moniliforme Yamatomishiki
