I keep some of the Rhipsalis at the lowest tier against the housewall in the greenhouse. I thought it was early in the season for the Rhipsalis pilocarpa to be flowering!
I pulled it out for some pictures.
This one is called Jade Serpent and should be opened by the time I get back to work Sunday night. The stems are a very jade green color. Lighter than most Amaryllis stems. I think all 3 bulbs look like they will have 3 stems each.
There is a seller on eBay called rarebulbs that has a lot of the South African Amaryllis. He tends to sale them 3 at a time and I like to put all 3 in one pot. The SA ones are faster growing and a little smaller than most, but seem to have 2-3 stems per bulb even when new. He also send me a free bulb with my order for the 6 bulbs.
Here are some of my E. x lomi/Thai Giants sitting on the top-shelf against the house wall in the greenhouse. I was standing on my small ladder to take pictures of the Blc Dennis Kone, turning around and shooting across the room was a given. The spikes in the pictures are from the Laelia autumnalis. The plant dropping its leaves is Pachypodium horombense. ( Most of my Pachypodiums aare now going dormant.)
