Come on down, Ursula. I'm a pretty good cook and there is plenty of wine.

Kathy, I plant tomatos in November and harvest in March. LIfe is upside down here.

they don't look like they are suffering from that wasting disease that so many deer have.
your gardens must provide everything they need! My brother lives in a subdivision, the
lots are 1/2 to an acre and his neighbors encourage him to shoot on sight any deer he
sees. He gets several every year, while sitting on his deck enjoying the fire pit, they get
right up close to him.

would love to be able to shot a few - there were 24 out there that day - i do not have a wide angle lense to capture them all - and they should look healthy based on all the trimming they did for me. they are standing on a pond/wetlands in that shot, at least they rarely get to my side when it is water.

Wine pairing for Venison? Yes, I agree with Kathy. A nice red, your choice - you can't go wrong.
I am very happy, "our" hunter friends kept us again this year in good supply of Venison. I use it simply instead of Beef. Nicely spiced Venison Hamburgers with all the trimmings are excellent too. Nothing wrong with a Curry either etc.. Smiling

Lindsey, looks interesting, especially the Hellebore.

Hey Janice, you are soooo far ahead of me it's not funny!
My February Gold daffies are just beginning, most of the other thousands
of bulbs are just a few inches high with very few flower buds visible, I must
be in a zone 6 micro climate!
