yeah I did too.. not going to do another petunia basket .. they poop out too quick .. going to stick with coleus & impatiens in all of them.. those just get better and better
how big were the plants you planted JoAnn?... they take a while to mature.. the ones I overwinter do great every year.. if I take cuttings they are not too good until the next year for me

Yes, I have to note that for myself next year. I put too many coleus in the same pot and they individually didn't do as well as the ones that had their own pot. Strange however, cause Allisons and JoAnn's always are mixed are they look great. I probably didn't pinch them as much as I should have. Is it too late to transplant a few out of the overstuffed pots. Do ya'll think it will kill em?
I made a note to myself to not put more han 3 plants in an 18 inch planter. It depends on the variety coleus. Some get reallbig and spread( Magogany Giant),some remain small and creep over the edge of the po( Tiny Toes)t.
I always do the opposite.. jam em in there.. root ball to root ball.. but just make sure they all have slow release fert. and water gels.. I always figure if the roots have room to go down.. they are good to go
