Nice seedlings! Mine are still a work in progress. Here is the progress so far with ones blooming today.
A Gossard seedling I am working with (parent to my daughter's pink seedling)
FFOE - need to look up cross. Tall scape. Big bloom
Tie dye moon x thunder cat. 5 way branching scape. Needs better color
Sibs FFOE on 2 of them. Kaleidoscope x women at the well
Seedling I showed this year(best in section), I call it monster purple
I'm getting lots of true blue eyed dips, Now if I could only get the whole flower blue.
The dips are bluer than the tets now all I need is a tet conversion.
PS. One of us does the tets and one of us does the dips.

Still enjoying ruffles on sepals, whew!
Question: when you say you might self-pollinate a seedling to check for fertility, Michele, is that to avoid having seed pods form on the seedlings, or excess seedlings (likely a sterile cross), or is it a way of bringing forth possible recessive genes from the seedling at that same time? I'm assuming that people do cross seedlings with other cultivars, too, since there are so many "sdlg" parents in registered cultivars?

Symphony of Praise X Henry Lorrain, today
Very pretty Debra, love those soft pleats in the throat! Nothing better than when a planned cross turns out the way you hoped it would.
Blue eyes, monster purple.....Great seedlings everyone!
Char - It is rewarding when those crosses turn out the way you planned. I only had one seedling that survived from that cross, so it was a longshot that the remaining seedling would have pleats in the throat. While Henry Lorrain is the most reliable pleated throat cultivar I grow, Symphony of Praise only shows the trait a couple of times a season. The other seedlings died in a pot this past winter, so I know the survivor is very hardy.
Tina - You got a really nice pink from your cross. I like the way the petals are cascading in that photo.

Thanks so much, Debra
I am so impressed at your hardy survivor! I know how hard it can be to find so many hoped-for seedlings go by the wayside, but it really does bring you some intangible yet encouraging rewards. Awesome to be working on pleating, and with such a well balanced match of pod and pollen parentage ... very inspiring!

Lots of nice seedlings everyone.
Has rained everyday here for days, plus blooms are really winding down.
These first two seedling are both 6"+ on tall scapes but I'm not crazy about the color
of either one.

Oh Em Geeee!
The #1 purple is a beautiful shade of purple!
Did you know that there is no picture of Lola's Lashes in the database? Would be totally awesome if there were a photo handy to upload...
Lisa, may I please enroll in your school?! If not, I'd be happy for crazy-bloomer as a consolation...messy, messy all those buds dropping everywhere ... just wanna help you out, I'm happy to be school custodian.

I bought those seeds, so I don't own Lola's lashes.
Kidfishing - I'm liking those dip spidery seedlings today. Magic of Oz X Galaxy Explosion is my very favorite, but the first and last seedlings and scrumptious too!
Lisa - I adore the seedling that blooms like crazy, and there are several lookers in the student bed. It's interesting the results you got using Harvest Moth as a parent. I had several nice seedlings going with HM as a parent that died in pots over the winter. I lost about 50 seedlings in pots over the winter, including my best two UF toothies out of Backscratcher.
