Hilarious!
I had a psychotherapist once who would just look at me and say "Oh, SO many windows open" as I was talking and flitting from topic to topic to side comment to topic. Hilarious!

>> I often right-click to open a separate window,

I like to have two instances of my browser running, so I can have a couple of tabs in a window on my left-hand monitor, and another browser window open on my right-hand monitor with a few more tabs.

That way I can have two tabs open at the same time, and see both by just moving my eyes. Like having two books open side-by-side instead of stacked one on top of the other.

The only way I know to open two instances of the browser is click on my "FireFox" icon a second time, while one instance is already running.

I would love to have FOUR monitors, or virtual reality goggles.

I wish Google hadn't called their system "Google Glass". I wish they had called it "Google Goggles" just so I could enjoy saying it.

I'm still waiting on the immersa-desk seen in the early 90s at fermi labs ... but the only person I ever met who'd fully road tested it over time had developed the habit of looking at real-world environments with the cocked-head-look of a puzzled pooch. Sometimes ... just sometimes, really ... I'm glad that there may be some limits on how far things can stray from reality. Simple focus can be good, too. Thumbs up

@dave

Dave, I made a mistake in entering info. (I've made a few mistakes *Blush* ) When I go back to edit, it does not let me edit what I already entered. It only allows me to add a new event. I meant to put the year obtained as 2013 but messed up & it says 2014. I can not change that. I guess I could delete that entry & then go back & re-do but that is awkward. Is there a way you could make it so we can do a simple edit?
Here's the example:
http://garden.org/lists/view/f... Daylily Bandit Bay is the one with the incorrect year obtained.

Also, I may be in the minority but I would rather not have the drop down calendar. It would be easier & faster for me to enter the date(s) myself. Because we all will be playing catch up when entering events, it slows me down to have to click back a year to enter the date obtained or whatever. It would be nice too, to have the option of being vague b/c we don't know the actual date thus we wish to just enter fall, or early June & so forth.

In the type of event category, can we have one for went into dormancy please?

There are many "events" I just need a month for (or some even just the year), not an exact date. So far in that case I have just been using the note section

Edited to add, I love the drop down calendar for dates I need exact, like when I seeded something, when it germinated, when I transplated out.

The reason almost all modern websites give you a calendar to click on for dates is because you can't rely on people to enter a properly formatted date in a text field. It has to be entered correctly or there will be errors and nothing is more error prone than date entering. Is it YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YY or MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY or something else? So you use a drop down calendar and that way it works 100% of the time.

Plus once a date is entered, if you click the date box a second time all the previous dates pop up and you can just select it, that is very nice!
Edited to add: Oh well it worked for the first six dates.

Any chance for a "Miscellaneous" or "Other" event that we could further describe in the associated comment box to track it for ourselves (ex: poly'd, FFO, divided clump, pollinated, etc)? My plants always seem to be doing something unexpected and off the grid ... Rolling my eyes.
