I almost missed this seedling but really noticed it the other evening when it was nearing dusk and I passed by my seedling patch -- and there were two flowers blooming together with this brilliant golden edging that stood out like neon in the faint light. Unfortunately I didn't snap a picture then and had to wait until these two bloomed together yesterday to get a picture. But the edging almost reminds me of a fringe, and I had already saved one other plant from this same cross last month that I think also looks a little fringed. These blooms in the first two pictures are on a rebloom scape.

I'm keeping them for now because they just look different from any of my other seedlings with this fringy look, but I don't like the fact that on both plants the blooms seem jumbled when two flowers bloom together. But I guess this at least is a start...

Char.....Knocked my socks off with the first 2 sdlgs. But the one that I find stunning is 'Inner Flame' X 'Truth About Love'. The color is exquisite, and has held up thru all the rain this week.Very, very nice.

ED....Keeping my eye on all your lovely sdlgs......but I know you are holding back on us. Tapping my fingers in anticipation of what's coming next.

There are so many beauties here that I just love! But there are three that I think are just amazing -- Ed, I think your R6 seedling is absolutely beautiful -- really love the colors in that bitone! And Terry (kidfishing), I I think that first CAT DANCER seedling is to die for -- and your HEAVENLY PINK BUTTERFLY X STARGATE PORTAL is really spectacular too. But all the others are fantastic too -- I would be so pleased to get seedlings that good!

Wow. So much beauty here Kid, Char and Ed.

Hard to follow these gorgeous sdlgs. with a newbie sdlg. of my own. But here we go. Sdlg. #5 of 2014. I never imagined this bloom from this cross. But that's part of the fun of growing sdlgs. from seeds. The color is not pink, and not rose-colored. It's somewhere between a very pale 'burn-sienna' and pink/rose. Different and lovely. Huge bloom at 7" on a 20" scape with only 8 buds. This sdlg. is only 1 1/2 yrs. old. I will be watching the edge on this one, because of the two parents involved. We have not had those hot temps necessary as of yet to produce teeth. Temps in the low 70's here today, with nighttime in low 60's. This weekend expected 80's. So far a coolish summer. But I do believe I will get teeth on this one.
