We have been starting seeds since 2009 but have not registered any of our seedlings. We think we may have some worthy of introduction. We have over a thousand seedlings to choose from and some of the best performing daylilies in our gardens are seedlings. We grow about 500 registered daylilies so they do have competition for comparison. We have thousands of seeds this year. Just guessing on the number, but we may harvest 20,000+ seeds this year.

Very impressive, Terry! Those are fantastic seedlings, and I'm really drawn to #s 1, 4, 7, and 8. Absolutely beautiful, and that EMERALD STARBURST seedling looks huge!

ED....Thank-you for your warm vote of confidence. I haven't given up on my sdlgs., on the contrary, I am learning from my experiment into this area of mix and match crosses. My problem, and I suspect all of us who live in the northern areas of the US this summer, is the weather. Not only for my seedlings, but for my named plants, we need some hot weather to open all these blooms, and perfect the edges. We are weeks behind last summer for our bloom season. My theory is that Mother Nature knows what she is doing, and so do these wonderful plants we grow. This summer, I am learning the gift of 'patience'.

Seedling #6 of the summer of 2014. This is a 3 yr. old sdlg. that first bloomed last summer. It's just a lovely bloom with good stats. 6" bloom on a 30" scape with 18 buds, and reblooms.

The SBTM seedling is diamond dusted, second bloom year, I will move it out of the seedling bed this fall.
The red one has been here for several years, last time I used it for hybridizing it drew little attention on the auction, I thought a sun fast velvet would be more popular than what it was.
