We ordered the median collection from Schreiners for the club auction. the medians were dry, the 2 bit TBs as a bonus were normal. I think the shipping Dept. needs a note.

Got my order from the Iris Sisters today. I ordered 3 and got 4 bonuses, including one of their introductions. Way cool, I did have some of the bonuses already, but they were ones I like and could add to my clumps.

Well, I wanted Samba Queen, as you all know, thanks to Paul's great pictures, I was unable to live without it, So I ordered that. I also couldn't let the poor royal travel without an entourage, so I had to find a couple more to come along for the ride. I then ordered Just Crazy (The court jester ) , as I liked that one, and although I have Noble Gesture, I wanted a bigger clump, so I ordered another one of those(Something for the Nobility). For bonuses they sent me Raven Girl, (one I ordered from Bay View, but now I have two, I think this is the queen's personal servant) , Palace Treasure, (I think it's part of the Queen's riches), Italian Master (I have this one too, but now I'll have a big clump, I think it's the Queen's secret lover ) and Art School, one of their introductions. There's no picture in the data base of Art School, but you can see it on their web site. It's a rosey colored self.

Speaking of crazy - I couldn't put the Ghio catalog down. My initial order was for two spendy ones - Love of Life and
Hollywood Star, so I righteously stopped there and sent off a check to Joe. The next day I made the mistake of picking up the catalog again and noticed the "bargains" - Gypsy Lord, which I don't have, for $5.50, and several others. Peaches and Dreams, Montmartre and Photogenic. I had lists everywhere. I finally settled on these and wrote another check. I refuse to think about a surprise box. I refuse, I refuse......

Speaking of boxes and suprises, I love the box you sent Tom! How in the world did you get all those in that medium box? I certainly can't get them all back in!!!You and Greg are the masters of iris packing for sure because I was suprised by the heft of both your boxes.

Thanks for the extra suprises. And as for Royalty - thanks for the Prince to keep Visiting Royalty company. You should consider Elizabethan Age for your group if you don't already have her.

You just have to have a horse stand on it while you're taping it shut, and you can pack a lot in them!

Samba Queen was pretty small, she appologized and said it hadn't done well there this year, think that's why she sent so many extra's. So I think I won't be seeing it yet next year.

Maybe she will bloom. I had a few smalls this year that I never thought would bloom. One of my small dwarfs had gotten to be only 5 inches tall but bloomed!

Just received my first order from Joe Ghio. Love of Life was a big rhizome with an even bigger root system! He was out of the other one I'd ordered, Hollywood Star, so he replaced it with another pink, Other Side of Heaven, and two bonuses - Platinum Jubilee, and Bewitchment. All big and healthy. According to his catalog, he sent twice the iris dollar amount I sent him.
Looking forward to order # 2 ! Joe's gone to the top of my list!
