My small order from Damons Gardens arrived. They had a special with free shipping that I took advantage of! The rhizomes are huge and have the healthiest roots I have ever received. Packaging was great too. And a bonus Celtic Lady and Venita Faye. Well done Damon's Gardens!

And I just got an email from Chad Harris (Mount Pleasant Farms) that my Japanese Iris and Species Cross have shipped!!!! I am so excited for this order!

Read that as much time to be spent digging in the dirt in North Carolina! Hilarious! But I will be entirely done planting by this weekend. Hurray!

I had a trying day yesterday and arrived home late to find two boxes waiting for me. It felt like a friend greeting me home..... and it kinda was. One box was from and ATP iris friend that VERY generously packed a box of SDB rhizomes.... it will be an automatic clump next spring. I was thrilled and overwhelmed at their generousity. The other box was from Sutton Iris. This company moved two years ago and tried to 'get going' last year but did not make it in time and just barely got ready for me this year. )In the meantime I was told they were dealing with the loss of family members.) I had placed an order early this spring for a couple of SDB's that they had previously carried. After a few weeks I emailed and asked them to add another SDB. That email got lost in the shuffle and I heard no more about my additional request. That was o.k. I shall live to order another day, but.... the next think I know George emails his apologies and then sends a box at NO CHARGE with a little clump of the requested add-on. That is real customer service. Hats off to Sutton Iris and to ATP iris folks who share their knowledge and irises.

Thank you for the information Lucy. I had heard that they were having some great family issues to deal with as well as re-start their iris business.... so Mike instead of George. Thanks again.

I received my order from Winterberry. Healthy rhizomes and many. I ordered eight and four were doubled, one was tripled and they sent four bonuses. What a lot of great irises! They are definitely on my 'order from them again' list!

I had not ordered from them before but I was looking for a little turquoise iris called 'Miss Meredith' and asked on here if anyone knew where I could get one. Tom responded, thank you Tom, with Winterberry. I went to their site and found not only Miss Meredith but Tropical Shoals and Teagan that fit in the turquoise category. I cant wait for next spring. Yay, Winterberry!

Winterberry is surely one of the better vendors out there. Nice selection, very reasonable pricing, nice quality....and super "customer service", to boot !

Oh, I do agree, Arlyn. Ginny has emailed just pictures of her iris garden in bloom because she know I would like it. Really nice people.

Got my order from Mount Pleasant Farms today. The bearded dwarfs & intermediates were large with good roots. The Japanese & Species Cross roots are all in individual liquid gel packs. Sent at least 3 rhizomes of each, more on the species cross. We had really heavy rain last night so tomorrow will be perfect for planting them! I am very happy with how healthy they are! Hurray!

Received my order from Schreiner's this morning. As others have mentioned, these rhizomes are large and healthy with many increases, but are not as fresh as past orders have been. All in all, I'm happy with them. Soaking now. Will plant later.

Bonnie - I got SDB's Killarney Green and Open Your Eyes, then the intermediates Tacking, Red Rock Princess, Protocol and Jersey Cream. And just in case you start a wet garden: The Species Cross are Ally Oops and Roys Repeater. The JA were Blushing Snowmaiden, Artesian Spring, Tuptim, Pleasant Starburst, Shining Prince and Ol' Man River.

I also got two SDB's from C & T that were delayed from another shipment. Talk about dry!!! High Wire will be fine, but the Desert Orange is on "hope it makes it" status. I was not really happy with their condition if you can't tell. Glare
