I had to water early this morning...because we have to go to the lake.... to water this morning!!! Even tho our irrigation comes from the lake, we've resisted putting in an automatic irrigation system. We have a huge yard up there....all St Augustine. I don't know how we'd "xeriscape" it if we had to. I can see that our yard here is suffering..and the trees out near the street are buckling the sidewalks. As someone who's lived thru some scary hurricanes, I hate to say this, but we really need a tropical depression to break the drought.

I have to agree...........hoping that no major hurricane develops..........only a moderate TP...with adequate rain....but no major flooding..........and could I have a piece of coconut cream pie....on the side? (while I'm wishin')
How about our baby 3 legged frog?

Ooh...yeah! And for us in central areas it has to be out in the ocean out from northern Mexico and southern Texas, so maybe two tropical depressions would be needed! Let's see, I'd also like to order a homemade type cherry pie please? I've already got some whipped topping in the fridge to go on it...I buy the good kind at the health food store when I don't feel like whipping my own whipped cream. And I do need to go by Central Market and pick up some Dublin Dr Pepper, but if all of this could be delivered along with the rain, that would be so kind! As soon as my knees stop acting up...I'll get started on that rain dance... but I'm not delivering it. You'll have to come pick it up. Did I mention the cenezias are blooming around here???????? Ou,ya ya.ou, hoo ha.... (I forgot the rest of the words to the rain dance). Hope I didn't mix the words and send locusts!!!

We're playing hooky and staying home. DD and family went up to lake, so they can water...and mow....and vacuum....aaahhh

Okay so let's keep it up! There's a 20% chance tomorrow...any takers on whether we'll actually see some rain? I'm sure my tomatoes would be throwing in their nickels, if only the raccoons would stop snacking on them!

Too funny! DH "relocated" two more squirrels to the expensive lot.... I've declared war....they're digging in the pots and tearing up any bulbs. I'd feel bad for them, but we have a fountain and a pond out back for water and the next door neighbor has multiple feeders. They're just doing this to annoy me!

It's even getting dark here, but according to the weather app it'll probably just miss us.

That's so funny! Looks like it just missed us, but the lake is getting lots of it. Glad you at least got a little. We were on the very edge of the biggest swath of the storm. Lots of dark clouds, but nothing else. Maybe tomorrow.
