Hilarious! Hilarious! Ay-yup, they do. Whistling Hilarious!

My brain went off to Venus or something while I was at the store--ostensibly JUST for some pest control. Glare Hilarious! Bought a mark-down package of boneless beef ribs (still nearly $4 a pound! Blinking ), a small package of corned beef, a small head of cabbage, and a canister of taco seasoning. When I got home, mixed one package each previously thawed ground beef and ground chicken, seasoned it, portioned it out. Put most of it in the freezer. Made a burger with half of the remainder and cooked the other half with the taco seasoning. Ate the burger, will put the other in the refrigerator for later. Ribs are in the crockpot with a can of beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and a splash of soy sauce. When it comes out, going to shred some of it to cook with the taco seasoning, trying my hand at Mexican street-style tacos. Have corn tortillas, cilantro, onion, and lime juice already here. Freezing the rest. Thinking of cooking the corned beef and cabbage on Tuesday when it is supposed to be raining most of the day. I LOVE cooking when it is chilly and raining. Lovey dubby

You have made me laugh today!

Colder weather is making all of us want to eat
including our pets!

My cats, are about to eat t hemselves to death if I set the bowl down which I only put it down 3 times a day for a few minutes...for them to eat.

Leo goes to the cabinet door and rubs against it wanting me to open it and
get him some Fancy Feast canned food

notice the photo of him lying on the floor by the food and he is meowing for it, mouth is open.. and he is stretching....that pose really made me laugh..

I myself am craving starchy carbs which make one gain weight and or raise
glucose levels..

I am craving a huge pot of macaronni and cheese or a hot loaf
of sourdough bread smothered in butter..LOL

Well I am not going to do that to myself and hate myself the next few weeks
over weight gain and feeling bad physically from wrong food choices
but I SURE HAVE THE URGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I brought my glucose levels down 10 points in one year
by giving up 80 percent of white carbs , potato chips , sweets, mac and cheese,
white bread, white rice...homemade biscuits...hashbrowns and grits
and chocolate..

Once in a while I have some and over do it..but then have to get back
the will power to straighten myself out again and move forward.

It is hard work but for me I rather do it with diet and no medication
if possible and it
works for me..when I stick to the plan...

Here are my 3 cats..Peebo, Leo and Bro
The big one is not overeating..he is huge and neutered and could have a
problem from arthritis..thyroid and such..he is healthy but 24 pounds and just a big cat..the other two weigh ll and 16 pounds..

Hope these cats bring some laughter to you today on first on winter days!

I know what you are going through..on cool weather and food.

Sheri, those cats are beauties!

Debra, yep, Mexican street tacos sound awesome!

I'm eating lentil soup that I was smart enough to put some of in the freezer when I made it. Ah, hot soup is exactly right tonight!

Later on, no doubt, I'll dig into the candy bars. Hilarious!

I agree Me, too! My 4 are all indoors-only. Then I got to the point where I felt sort of partial to the ferals that hung out in my backyard, but now they've disappeared. :-/ Not sure what happened to them.

Those cats sure are entertaining. I'm really trying to lose 10 more pounds by early January. I can't believe that I'm actually going to go thru with the hip surgery (or run away from home the night before.)

No, it doesn't, but I'm able to do less and less in my garden and in the house. Or at least I do everything VERY slowly!!

I'm remembering when I used to work on keeping my weight down, I got interested in a notion about how the French supposedly eat. Which is: a pastry and piece of fruit in the morning, main meal midday, and a light meal in the evening.

I like eating that way though can't and don't always, but it feels good and is satisfying usually. I thought of it because it's sort of showed up recently; that is I find myself eating that way.

Well, except for when I eat Halloween candy.

Green Grin!

Kyla ...

I am having one of those all-I-want-to-do-is-eat days ... Grumbling Grumbling

My brain is saying, "Feed me ! FEED me !!! FEED ME ... NOW !"

My body is saying, "Why ? I am not hungry."

My brain answers, "FEED ME ... NOW !!!!"

In other words, all I want to do is eat. I don't care if it's healthy or not. I don't have any junk food in the house, but my brain keeps wanting me to EAT !!
