Lucy....I am going to admit something *Blush* I have taken 1000's of pictures with my digital camera but when I need to empty the memory I have my Grand Daughter do it *Blush* My Daughter frequently needs to help me figure out things with computer problems. Do you have some one who can help you learn to use your camera. You will be so happy with it.

I am happy to have my son living a crossed the street and my daughter 5 minutes away. I see my grandchildren several times a week. Things would be lonely without them.

I have a cheap, easy to use digital that takes fantastic close ups - Fujifilm T400. I have had it break once and Fuji replaced it, but it cannot be beat for us folks who are digital camera pathetics. All the beautiful shots I post; come from that cheap, little camera. The last time I looked at eBay and Amazon, they were about $40. They will get cheaper as they become more obsolete.

A lot of phones take good pics too. One can always email it to ones self and then save in pictures.

We have a very old phone to use for emergencies. I don't think that it would be useful for the photos.

The new phones have pretty good cameras. They are good enough for taking pictures of shoes, china and stuff to sell on eBay, but not my stone jewelry. For that, the T400 has been a blessing. Somehow, polished rocks need a much better close up camera. That same setting is great for plants, although I have taken nice plant pics with my phone.

Back to seeds: I got the neighbor's bee pods from a Butter and Sugar type Siberian clump and a blue and white flattie or Japanese iris. Dunno what the latter are. The pods are similar to Siberian pods, but a little rounder.

question for our experienced hybridizers.... is there any significant difference in iris seeds that float vs ones that sink to the bottom of the glass when being soaked in water. Most of the ones I am soaking sit on the bottom but a few float. ???

I discarded the ones that floated. Sometimes though if you touch the floating ones they will sink......
