Three years ago I looked up some site on the Internet and was just tinkering around with a bee pod. I think two iris sprouted from that pod.
Two years ago I tried another bee pod. I forgot the seeds in the refrigerator and left them there for 8 to 9 months.
one seed had sprouted. Most of them got moldy after leaving them so long.
This year I tried crossing a few and also had a few bee pods.
I don't remember the site I looked up but it did not say anything about drying the seeds before soaking them. So here is what I did:
After the pods dried out, I put the seeds in water to soak right away. After a week to ten days and changing the water daily I put them on a damp paper towels then put them in plastic bags and put them in the refrigerator for about six to eight weeks.
Last weekend I took them out and planted them in pots. Writing all the information and the pots. (After today I'm hoping they didn't get washed out of their pots with the down pore we had this afternoon)
I'm leaving them outside this winter, if they grow they grow, if not I'll be looking at this thread again next year
