Laura, sorry for not saying 'Hi!' sooner! When I first saw it, I didn't have time to reply that day, then forgot about this discussion for a while. Your plant is lovely, with such nice, large leaves!
My trellised plant (same species as yours) has been going up for a while. I had to disturb it about 3 yrs ago to give it its' own pot. It had been growing with a Dracaena tree for about 12 yrs, but I was having to trim it too often the last few yrs, it really wanted to take off. But that's when mine started making larger leaves, when it was "on" the trunk of the tree, with its' roots attached.
So far, after about 3 yrs on the trellis, it hasn't made leaves any bigger than it did on the tree, but I've had to trim those older parts off again, to keep it small enough to bring inside for winter. If unable to stop disturbing/trimming my plant, it doesn't seem like I'll see leaves any bigger.
If able to let them grab the wall & keep going, it might be possible...!
Have you gotten started with a trellis for some of yours yet?
The leaf shine did wear off of my 'Panda' plant. I took the red noses off, but left most of the eyes on until they remove themselves. I know it's tacky, but I can't help it, I think they're cute.
