Tiffany, you are so funny when you describe your plant! Hilarious! It is ironic, that the warm nice season to grow is here, but some plants are still struggling! Glad to see your plants are trying to perk up!!

I have posted this in the Hoya forum, but will post it here too:
My Hoya kerrii variegata has been taking its sweet time to perk up last Spring. I hide this indoors during winter near our south facing window, and bring it out in Spring when it starts getting warmer.
Last Spring, the leaves gone wrinkly, I was not sure if it will ever improve, but just kept it in shade, and not seeing even a new leaf growth, or anything, color of leaves looks dull too:

Then our June heat wave came..all the more I was not sure if it will make it, so I just watered and spritz the looped up vine.

This July, heat wave over, and daytime highs back to low to mid 90F's, and nights cool at 58F to 61F..finally I see it perking up! Woohoo! Wrinkly leaves getting plump and better looking texture and leaf variegation colors more nicely alive! Just happy to see a marked improvement!

This noid bromeliad was given to me by Audrey (Esperanza) last Mar 2016. I had it in part sun/shade and left it outdoors too during winter 2016-2017

This summer, it has endured very well our heat wave in June, more colors are defined and pronounced. Enjoying the resilience of this tough plant.

Slowly, slowly showing signs of recovery, Aglaonema that DD overwatered, then set out to 'recover' on a breezy spring day, Had very pretty oval leaves with red edge and light red-pink variegation

Then this too, which I myself abused last year with sunburn

They are pretty sad! Should let them suffer natural death this fall and get a new one and never put it outside.
Plant it and they will come.

I think they look okay, especially the second one. They do tend to look more cane-like over time. Maybe next Spring you could cut them back to make them bush out?

This poor parlor palm got forgotten last winter, and was exposed to 2 nights of about 23° & having been forgotten, had not been watered for weeks before that. There was nothing green left at all except this one trunk. This pot used to have four 25-yr-old PP's in it, but only 1 remains alive. It took a few months to show that it was alive by finally starting to form a new leaf.
Thumb of 2018-07-27/purpleinopp/9e87dd

Please ignore the sago at the base. It was grown from seed in way too much shade because I did not know what the seed was at the time. And as if that wasn't bad enough, in a stroke of accidental stupidity, I drizzled motor oil all over its' smallest leaf a few weeks ago and now it is turning yellow.

Yes Sad A terrible mistake. It's always something, every winter. I need to be more fastidious about checking everywhere on "panic night" of first frost.

Just a more recent update on this noid bromeliad...really improved with stepped up watering especially during this summer heat wave season and has now several offsets too:

I have been stepping up watering too, some leaves looking nicely fused together:

I have been getting cuttings from this mother plant through the years so it has lots of children: Big Grin I like how I see the effects of having longer light exposure and then some growing in more shade, visibly seen in the color of the leaves. Apple greenish color shows it is getting more light, while the darker green ones are more on the shady side of the garden, but still gets nice dappled light.

Not that this little fella is officially back from the dead (but he has already sprouted a couple new fronds since I brought him home, so I take that as a good sign). I found it on clearance for $.10!

Klenia kleiniiformis doing well March 2014, while overwintered indoors:
Thumb of 2018-08-31/tarev/371f5a

suffered big time in summer 2014, got too dried out, and I may have positioned it wrongly, it was just too much sun, even if I already tried to acclimate it slowly.

continued with its downhill stage, I did not bother bringing it indoors, looks so dead, only very small leaves were left by Jan 2015,but it is giving me some hope, it is trying to survive!

Spring ensued later, weather warming up, positioned it in part sun/shade area of the garden. By Nov 2016, it has fully recovered

Currently this 31Aug 2018, plant still alive, positioned in shade during summer. Gave me better understanding of the importance of shade during summer for this succulent. Need to cut off that etiolated part, just waiting again for cooler Fall conditions to return.

I was waiting for a total success but feel tempted to show this.
It was an expensive Agave isthmensis 'Shoji Rajin' Variegata. Cost about $30 which I refuse to pay for a tiny plant. Got it on a good deal about half that. But after a few years this spring was way too wet for the little guy. Main plant rotted but there was a tiny spark of life in the pup.
First picture is when I got it.

My thanks to Daisy for that chamomile tea tip. Using it every time I water it. Also used the used tea bag as soil topping.
