I'm envious of all your leftovers. I haven't cooked a turkey in years. It's just been the two of us, and it hardly makes sense, so Dave goes out and buys all the components.. The turkey is already sliced, and we just heat everything up. I really wanted a leftover piece of pie yesterday though.. but then, if I did, I'd be spinning around on my stomach like Rob
Jan, I'm glad you had a "Golden Friday". I never liked the term "Black Friday". Renting an RV might be cheaper than adding on... maybe you've got a neighbor who would loan you one?
KPIG radio has a live show every Sunday morning with 4, or sometimes 5 live acts. We've had all kinds of music there in the 14 years we've been volunteering, but focusing on Americana. Sometimes comedy, sometimes theater groups.. We've had former members of the Byrds, Kenny Loggins (still looking good), Garth Hudson (from the Band), Robert Earl Keen, Fred Eaglesmith, Paul Thorn, Carlene Carter, some big name bluegrass bands (whose names all sound alike to me), and a bunch of local and touring bands. Dave supplies the microphones and trouble shoots any audio problems, and I act as a sort of production assistant and hospitality. There's another gal (who I've gotten interested in Iris) who also bakes things.. but today is her birthday, and I thought I'd take the pressure off. Hence, the Strata.
