My favorite by a longshot is the 4th one, second row on the right...the yellow with burgundy that others have mentioned...but there are so many others that I like too....
I did that 3 times the other day when i was posting pictures. I finally opened a second window and mirrored everyting I did so that if I lost it again I could use the copy!! I can feel your frustration! !

Teenybopper-this is a picture of it's first bloom. For anyone growing this iris does this look correct? I think it looked like the picture in the database but when it bloomed it sure didn't look like a TB (will have to wait and measure it when blooms again).
If I added any that were incorrect will you let me know? I just started mine own database.
Thanks, Barbara

Thanks guys for taking the time to respond I agree the Plicata's have come a long way from my Grandma's and they will just keep getting better Kieth has really pushed the color wheel and done some amazing work here my pictures don't do a lot of them justice they are even better in person, most of these were taken in middle of the day with bright sunlight and the sun can wash them out the colors really show up and pop on them when it's cloudy.
I think even if none of these get a name they are all being worked, with the best growing ones saved and each year He's trying to improve them so whatever comes from that process when they get a name will be a great growing plant with beautiful colors that will do well all over the country. Although I wouldn't mine having a piece of all of them just the way they are right now I had a lot of fun going through these thinking about what would happen if you crossed this one with that one what colors would show up the possibilites are endless as you can see with Plicata's. This is why it is recommended to make some crosses with Plicata's wouldn't it be fun to walk outside in the spring and find something like one of these opening up for the 1st time.
Oh my goodness...
#1 that dark purple plicata with the gold edge on the standards is lovely
#7 red plicata w/ gold ombre standards!
#8 red plicata with the sunny yellow kiss on the falls...

Marilyn I will be visiting California again in April and Oregon in May hopefully there peak bloom time will work out so I can enjoy the convention as well but will wait and see what spring brings. I did take a lot of pictures this year of the convention Beds at Schriener's and Mid America. Will go over some favorites from there when Cabin Fever sets in
Hi Sherry,
Those are the ones I have. The year next to the iris is when I bought them.
I did not realize I had so many of Keith Keppel's iris. I just started looking up the hybridizers after reading these threads.
