Appointment over, things went mostly better than expected, so my mood is a little improved ( ). My new Santa wish for today is Cantina. Re-lia-ble rebloomer in North Texas and it's really pretty, too.

Rob- That seedling would really stand out in a garden! Certainly the yellow would draw attention to it.

It was one of the bonus iris offered by Mid-America back in 2011, I think it was one of their best introductions that year.

Okay - a totally off topic question, well maybe half off topic since they have a lot of iris I want.

Schreiner's - there have been decades of Schreiner cultivars. Does the whole family use the name as the hybridizer? Or is it one old gent creating all the introductions?

Thanks to the PNW sale this year I got 3 Schreiner's that I really wanted (for 1/10 the cost thank heavens)! Santa's early presents were:
Downtown Brown
Cowboy Caviar (that is less brown than I thought)
and Urban Cowgirl

I've wondered the same thing Leslie. I'd love to know a little more about the Schreiner family and their iris making history.

...and I want all three of those Irises, Leslie. Not as much as I want some others, mind you, so they are well down on the acquisitions list, but I think you scored.
