Lisa, we have had the weird weather too, but I think the nasturtiums in the ground were about the first thing to go. The canary creeper was in large containers with my tomato plants, and those lasted quite a bit longer. I suppose it was because they were up off the ground. I like to start stuff inside because our growing season is so short. Gardening in small spaces also requires planning ahead. Nasturtiums have the double benefit of being pretty and edible, so they are a must for me! When I was cleaning up in the beds yesterday, I found some canary creeper seedlings growing in the big pots. The nasturtiums left a lot of seed on the ground, but none of that has germinated yet. Supposed to be 76 degrees here today, so who knows?

After multiple frosts the canary creeper is still blooming and trying to make seeds!

Sadly, the hard frost finally did the vines in but at least I was able to get blooms!
