Sounds like we have rain coming in next weekend, starting Thursday...our first "atmospheric river" of the season......I'd best be working faster out there tomorrow....I foresee more cookie making in my future....

I misread the clock today and got up around 4:30AM. (I usually get up around 5:30.) I'm sure a nap will be in the works today.

Warmer and dryer today at 86F, no breeze..lots and lots of fallen leaves. Looking forward to the cool down expected by midweek. Need some of that badly, and bonus if we get an actual drizzle.

Sherry, Your spider webs are beautiful, but I just walked through one on my way to close the orchid shack. Now I'm brushing my arms, clothes, and scratching my head. I can only hope I discouraged it from building a web across that path.

I had that problem in FB, but they don't seem to have the same opportunities here for spanning openings.....so I can appreciate them without cussing them.

It's very discouraging......it has been so quiet here for over 2 years ......now we have the new neighbor with her Lab, bought the house so she got another dog for company for the Lab...they now have the Boxers on the other side barking...they'd never barked before...the house next to that sold and there's a man living there while working on the house, with his dog and the neighbors across the street brought their deceased daughter's yappy little Poodle home....think I'm ready to move.....

It was 95F again yesterday.

Yep, there's always one. We built a house in Washington, mostly undeveloped hill-top, one main road going up and we were at a lateral from that, end of the road, 300' long driveway, very, very private, two neighbors....and one had a cow........................the cow would get loose and come and stomp my plants....

wow...something like over 2 1/2 inches of rain predicted for this coming weekend, starting with the heaviest on Thursday evening....and we must be coming up on fall back time, right? 7 a.m. here and barely light out there, well, it IS foggy also.....back to bed with a book sounds good.

Had a fun late lunch over the weekend for my 5 decades..we ate at this Filipino restaurant in Newark where they serve the food in winnow tray baskets..so yummy..lots of to go! We got unlimited rice too..heheh, we love unli-rice!

I admire both of the people who live in these houses. They're only separated by one house and I have the feeling they know each other and both wanted the same things from their tiny front yards...privacy and trees. Conventional wisdom would probably have told them not to plant more than one tree, but they went for it and I like it...the h*** with conventional wisdom...
