After our huge storm this weekend, it's expected that we will have high pressure building back in and nice warm Fall weather again...how cool is that ?! I'm set, have makings of various soups and stuff for carrot cake and cookies, etc. I will only have to go out tomorrow for popcorn...have an unusual need for popcorn....

Yup it seems the rain rumors are true. Right now I am at Alameda county it is quite overcast and clouds starting to drift in. So we might just get some good one in San Joaquin tomorrow yeah!

WooHoo!

Not only will the grass once again be green far as the eye can see, but this recharges our groundwater and our well....
Last count I saw online said we'd had 4.70 some inches before midnight and still raining....record breaker for the date.

It already started raining here too. I can't believe it's raining before Halloween. I looked up the records for this date. There has never been any precipitation here on October 14th! In 2004, in fact, it was 99 degrees on this date, although the average temperature for October 14th is 78 degrees daytime and 43 degrees at night.

I'm jealous too! NOAA is giving us a 20% chance of showers through the weekend. I'm not holding my breath.

We apparently have the storm of the century coming in here and my son reminded me that it might be a good idea to have soup already made and in thermoses (thermosi?) I HATE having an electric stove. I haven't even checked to see how much rain we've gotten since last night's count...

I believe that's the storm (Typhoon) covering the whole pacific ocean: its head rushes to The East (Asia, Jap, China...) and its tail sweeps to the West (US Northwest coast...) Whistling

Oh well...now it's been upgraded to the biggest storm in history......don't know if we're glad to have the warning or will be really annoyed when it turns out to be nothing...but everything we can do has been done....
