Oooookay......I need to start paying more attention while outside now....as the crow flies, or the bear walks, about 1/2 mile from our house lately...today at the high school...3 houses down from us is a large wooded area that runs to the airport.....

Yikes! This summer in the Santa Monica Mountains, a black bear has been picked up on critter cams. As far as anyone knows, that is the first bear in the SMM since grizzlies went extinct in the 1800s. That is quite a few miles from my house, but interesting and a long trip for the bear.

I remember there was a cub found here in our city one night, I think this was last year, photos were sketchy since it was night time, for awhile they thought it might be a hoax. But to play safe they searched around since area of sighting was near elementary schools. And they did finally find it at daytime, up in a tree...so they were able to tranquilize it, firefighters carefully catching it as it fell down the tree and returned to its more typical habitat about 100 miles away from our city.

So look around, look up if you got tall trees there..might be hiding there too Big Grin

Thankfully no cougars here...but I do watch out for mountain lions when we are out on a hike along the hill sides in the Bay area.

Yes, I saw that other companies too like netflix, twitter, amazom, redditt is also under attack. And I think even health insurance companies too we are unable to log on and proceed with Blue Cross.

The Russians are coming... The Russians are coming, and I can't download my Nook books! This is actually a really serious security problem. I hope we have some bad hombres and nasty women on the job.

There was a big discussion about it on the news yesterday. Those in the know are saying political...either Russia or China. Both are using "cyber warfare"
I'm just glad I'm not in the "cloud".

That's awful. I've always been suspicious of the cloud.

We are in an area of 'exceptional drought', but I didn't need a map to tell me that. http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/...

We've been having an air show at the beach, including the AF or Navy stunt flyers, I can't remember what they call themselves. They've been going so low over my house I thot they might drop in for tea. Love watching them.

Blue Angels would fit, since they're based at Los Alamitos Naval whatever Base. I thought I heard a different name for this squadron, tho - will check it out Wednesday.

Woke up to a light show at 6 this morning. The rain followed with a roar. Only got another .15", but it was all in two 10 min downpours. Great day if you stay home and bake muffins and clean the oven like me. A few scattered showers left out there.
