I was correct. N.Sweetness bloomed today. I thought I would have to wait until tomorrow because I went down & looked at 4 pm & the blooms were so close but had not quite opened yet. Just prior to 8pm they had & I just got a shot before it was too dark to see.

@Kabby, I've named the daffs in the pictures I posted yesterday :smily:.

Ann, I'm glad your N. Sweetness bloomed today Hurray!

I wanted to say there are some tulips that bloom better in the south. I've read that if they're chilled in the fridge for 6-8 weeks, then planted outside, they should bloom. I know Colorblends will also chill bulbs for people who don't get enough chill time naturally.

Nice blooms @Marilyn. I'm glad you were able to find the fertilizer at Lowes Smiling

@Seedfork, Larry, thanks, the tulip leaves are really large this year. I don't ever remember them being this big and lush😁.

The early Crocus are about finished here (C.chrysanthus and the tommies), and large flowered C. vernus are in full swing.

These came from Van Engelen a few years ago, a collection of Flower Record, King of the Striped, and Grand Maitre. Flower Record always starts first, then King of the Striped, and a few Grand Maitre (lavender) have just begun.

While most of the tommies are early bloomers, Ruby Giant is always later, in full swing about the time the C.vernus start flowering.

Rita, Ruby Giant is a great one! Increases quickly, and like other tommies, seems less attractive to rodents.

I planted just a very few of the Ruby Giant some years ago then just loved them and the following year which was the fall before this past fall, I planted hundreds of them. So last spring I had a great display. Now I see some just starting to come up out of the ground so expecting a great show this year also.

Rascally rabbits have been in my flowerbed chomping down some of the crocus flowers. They even chomped off one of the the snowdrops flowers and just left it on the ground. Crying Blinking Sad Thumbs down They're cute except when they're chewing down flowers and leaves.

Cloudy today and Friday is going to be cloudy/rainy, so I don't think I'll be getting any pics.
