I do enjoy hot, strong tea. No "two dunks" for me. That's no more than colored water.

So soothing for the soul. Columbines have to be the flower that looks happiest to be alive and thriving. They never seem to have a bad day like daylilies, irises or roses.

My paths are getting smaller as the flowers expand which has me sometimes walking crablike Rolling on the floor laughing ,..not that i mind as that was always my plan,..a garden visitor arrived today and the main complaint was of course,..the paths are too narrow,..he said he was getting dizzy,..no more invites from him Angry

Some views of the paths,..there is plenty of room in the middle,..for the present.

Such lovely photos!

Nonsense! A path isn't tight until you have to make giant leaps over plants to get to a resting spot!

Why do you even need a path Confused
You could use that area for more plants...

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Jeanie,..i did close off two paths and decided i had better stop there,.. both had that herringbone design,..one under my bedroom window which is now a container area and the other half way up the main path,..delighted you like the remaining ones I tip my hat to you.

Arlene and Debra you are correct,..my visitor wasn't a gardener,..and therefore doesn't think like one,..another visitor said Oh Nettles!!,..when he spotted the Catmint,..another said Oh hell you let the garden get overgrown!!,..this was when everything was in bloom with hardly a bare space without a plant Shrug!

Hi Jo Ann,..those tall Bamboo Canes are great and last for years,..sometimes i cut a tall one in half to support lower growing plants,..these cut down ones are lethal,..stooping down to check a plant could easily skewer an eye,..i had a few close encounters Thumbs down

Thanks Sue Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Thumbs up Hilarious!

Temperature in the garden dropped today to 21C-68F though it was overcast it was warm enough to enable a person to move around quickly without breaking out in a sweat.

With practically nothing to do in the garden but some dead heading and scrutinizing anything appearing above the soil off i headed with dog in tow for a very long walk,..nice lush grass and cool water for the dog to have a good day.

Waiting while i decide which walk to take.

We gardeners should only aim to please ourselves since we'll never please everybody!

Blooms, views and the pup are all such welcome sights at the end of a long gardening day.

I have some bamboo canes but switched to copper tubing (left from another project) and to protect my eyes I use cabinet/chest knobs. I bought many more for this year but haven't needed to begin the pounding in of the copper yet.
