Thank you everyone!,..and Debra i didn't think the rainbow was very noticeable so well spotted.
Oh i do believe there is fun in growing Columbines as every year they cross breed so its always a surprise as to what different blooms will appear,..i did sow some reds but they have not bloomed as yet nor the last to bloom for me is the Nora Barlow,..the tallest Columbine measures four foot high and yet to bloom so i keep watching every day,..bloom bloom lol.
The canal i posted the pictures of does not have any houses near it so its a peaceful area,..while the other end has houses and well planted by residents,..some shots of Bluebells taken there.
Thank you all,..the canal circles half way around the town and the idea was boats could avoid coming up river and through the town,..so a left turn on the river into the canal took one back into the river north of the town.
Scotch Broom really coming into itself in the past few days,..every day its nicer.
First Blooms on the Fuchsia Tree.
The Dry Wall and the Campanula showing the start of blooms.
Some random shots,..Sweet Alyssum.
Columbine.
Nora Barlow,..though the bloom is not as dark as last year.
Second picture has Almeria maritima,'Armada Rose'.
Hi Debra,..ah yes it is a prettier bloom than the rest,..maybe just because its unlike them,..however it has changed over the years perhaps i need newer stock,..how it looked in past years.
Hi Arlene and Jeanie,..i am very fond of that Scotch Broom and look forward to seeing it every year,..one near my back door and one at the bottom of the garden,..they bloom from now to August most years,..how they look next month below.
Columbines seem to grow in dense blooms here,..after they bloom i just cast some of the seeds back and wait for the following season,..i must admit they are dense in spots.
Last week i had to visit Dublin City,..which you will know is on the East Coast,..journeyed by train which is quickest,..so if anyone would like to see what the place looks like check the video below,..some old buildings like St Patrick's Cathedral dated 1191,..and Christ Church pre 1030,..its not all churches and you might like the background music.
This week i spent two days in Galway City,..West Coast,..also a very old City,..lots of swans and full of American tourists,..ahhhh nice folks. Video===Galway City
