We got ours from Judy Davisson Monday. Today we got Larry Grace's dip collection and COBALT RINGS from Mike Ridder from the LA. Nicole DeVito and Greg Goff's came last week. Still have several of Pete Harry's in pots to plant. Heidi and Charles Douglas were speakers at our daylily meeting Sunday. We came home with five. Monday we got the Trimmers' from last fall's auction. Several from the Ellers came a couple of weeks ago. Before that we got our orders from Spunky, the Trimmers, and Pierces. I thought I was being good not buying so many. Boy, was I wrong! Once again, I have more to plant than select planting spots. I hope to get some planted tomorrow. Oh, I forgot the 13 Salters in pots that we have had since December. We have THE ONE RING (2015 Intro) coming this month from the Salters.

And I thought I was busy!!! Blinking

We've finally had a string of decent weather so pretty much everything is showing some growth - of course compared to plants growing since January it's always a little strange. Sticking tongue out

I thought I had received the last of my plants yesterday. I was so proud that for the first time I was getting them planted, and in some mix that finally involves pine fines. I will say, I was pretty happy things were winding down, as my back is feeling all that mix mixing. Got a notice yesterday that James Hall had shipped. Whoops...looks like the back is going to have to just get over it. There are two in the order i must have...two I love...and two that Im not sure about. If life goes as usual, it will be the least expecting one that does the best. Gosh I hope I get some blooms out of these late plantings. It would really be fun.

Doris...how do you 'hold' your plants.

Oh, I feel your pain in the literal and metaphorical sense. I've been mixing a home-made potting mix of aged pine bark, sand, a little peat and some additives like fish meal, then potting and repotting as weather allows. The only source I can find for the aged bark is about 65 miles away so I picked a day, rented a truck, and drove up to buy it. It was -10 that morning so I was stuck huffing 2.8 cf bags of mulch that were frozen solid! The things we do for daylilies... Big Grin

What is your ratio of pine park to sand.
I feel Im not using enough sand, but darn those 50 bags get hard to deal with Blinking

Pam, I either pot them up until I can plant or keep the roots in water (not the crown) and change the water out every few days. I also put SuperThrive in the water. I noticed a scape coming out of UNDEFINABLE this morning! Should cut it off but want to see the blooms, so it will stay.

I've been using 0.5 cf of sand to 2.8 cf of bark. One bag of each. What I have repotted seems pretty happy thus far. My Tet Rose F. Kennedy has put up 3 new fans this spring. Now if she would just send up a scape... Glare

Hi Jon, We received a huge single fan that was beginning to show new growth. Now it has a new small fan coming out of one side and the large fan appears to be dividing into 3 with a scape coming out of the center. It will get the best of attention that we can give it. I will post pictures.

Got my daylilies from James Hall (Mljomo) today!
The box looked like it had been run over!
Daylilies were fine with no buds cut off, I doubt if the one with buds will bloom though.
Lots of bonuses of his new intros.

I will be getting two more boxes next week from people on ATP next week! Smiling
