I have Moonlit Masquerade with two nice big blooms open today, and Siloam Double Classic with one, and lots more buds coming.

Pam, I was in zone 10 roughly 25 miles south of Elaine only on the east coast & none of mine had summer dormancy.

I didn't see summer dormancy on Siloam Double Classic last year either. It bloomed early, middle, late and later for me. The little red one I had did the same for years. I did find one more clump of that one still going, but it's not showing signs of putting up any scapes yet. I gave it some fert and alfalfa pellets in hopes of reviving it.

Maurice - Only a few of mine do that deciduous thing in the Winter. The rest stay green with some of the older leaves dying. Then when the temps warm up, I see new foliage which quickly grows. I certainly haven't had cold Winters here this year. I don't think it ever even got down to freezing temps nor did it stay cold but for a day or two before the temps rose. Often though, those particular plants will completely disappear within 3 years. They literally die off. I have always assumed those were true dormant daylilies. All the daylilies around them have done fine and continue to grow and bloom every year. Since I don't know the parentage of these in particular, I have no way of knowing if they have dormant genes (parents), but I always assumed they did.

Elaine - Lovely, lovely blooms! Lovey dubby I think I am going to have to break down and get a Siloam Double Classic daylily just because of how pretty it is and how much everyone loves it. Sounds like it is a great performer in the garden! Thumbs up

I have a couple of new NOID bloomers today, both were seedling starts from Michele last summer. Huge healthy flowers, although the spidery one seems to have a weak neck and was wet, so the bloom was flopped, hence the appearance of my paw in the picture. Then I propped it up on a bamboo stake
