Muata - Oh boy! Look at those buds! I can't wait to see your blooms! I hope you will share some photos of them with all of us!

Cindy - Do you have any bloom photos showing how the hybrid blooms might change from 1st year to 3rd year?

Mike - Have yours thawed out and are sending out leaves yet?

Becky there's foliage everywhere. I closely inspected Tusk and saw some life. I know Jan and someone else lost it during the first winter in their garden. I clearly remember Cindy having issues with Get Jiggy. He wasn't getting Jiggy fast enough. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Thanks Becky, and I will most certainly post pics. I feel like a little kid counting down the days to Christmas. I have ¨Get Jiggy¨ and she's a dormant for me too, but woke up a couple of weeks ago. She had the prettiest bloom in the nursery last year, but she has some stiff competition this year ... LOL!

Get Jiggy didn't have any pattern at all for me the first year it bloomed, but the second year it did.
Now Happy Happy I had issues with. It died the first winter. I replaced it last summer so I hope it made it this time. Will have to check today.

Cindy - Interesting! I wonder if some of my Plain Janes might show some pattern next year? I didn't realize that a Plain Jane could be something much more given a couple more years to express themselves! Thumbs up

Do plants down as far as beckygardener take more than a year to show their "true colors" or "true patterns". I don't recall reading that anywhere? Any experiences above zone 7 with that happening?

Cindy, The first scape of blooms showed very little pattern, but the reblooms looked incredible. I read that the more humidity you have, the more the pattern will show. I am not too sure if that's true in all cases since I don't live in a high humidity area. I'm just interested in seeing what happens this year.

Ooh, that reblooming scape has a great pattern! Drooling
Sadly, most of my newly added fancy patterned daylilies had no pattern at all.

Most of my new patterns died last winter... Thumbs down
I lost Pebble In A Pond, So Many Ripples, Cosmic Kaleidoscope and Texas Kaleidoscope. Crying
Also lost a daylily that's been here for years that was one of my favorites... Linda Sierra.
One of my hybridizing goals are consistent patterns here in Oklahoma.

Ashton/Terry - Oh my! I am so sorry for the loss of some really beautiful patterned daylilies. That is a real bummer! Maybe some will return and surprise you! Shrug! Thumbs up
