Hyacinths are up but not in full bloom yet. Finally protected them from rabbits and deer so they'll be twice as beautiful to me this year.

Lots of daffs blooming here. Finially the February Gold are blooming and of course very late this year as they do sometimes bloom at the end of February.

We have mixed daffodils along a stone wall which is next to the street. Joggers like the display. The first 2 flowers were opening yesterday.

Yep, they sure do liven up the spring. And are such cheerful blooms.

I do love the more formal tulips but some of each is just fine for me! nodding

"What are your sure signs of Spring?"
THE SQUIRREL WARS!!! Angry
I planted a spring window box yesterday. Due to past history, I put rocks around the plants to keep them from ripping them out, (the rocks make a nice landscape effect) and sprinkled chili powder around all the plants. This morning, in spite of my efforts, 1 tiny plant ripped out, some flowers beheaded! It would have been much worse had I not used my non-lethal weapons! Grumbling

The squirrels are brutal! They consider anything new an invasion of their territory, and they must investigate. Their investigations are very thorough! And yes, the neighborhood feral cats, of which there are many, are the enemy when it comes to my catmint! They love to get high!

My own cats love to roll around on my Walker's Low. I've never managed to get regular Catmint going here. I think it is due to the cats but it may just not like my soil.
