Bonnie, it was planted last year - it may have been one I got from Pam - I'll have to check.
This was its maiden bloom. I love the touch of pink in the coffee with cream color. And it's
a very vigorous plant with some increases. And four more buds to go!
It was worth getting wet for - I just wish all my shots had been better.

It is gorgeous! I like the way the subtle colors are highlighted by the beard. A beard plays a significant role in enhancing the color of a lot of irises. For its garden debut it is really showing off. Good selection, Jan. thanks for sharing the photos.

We had a good downpour too this morning, right now it's just overcast but the rain is supposed to continue off and on the next couple of days, I hope!

Yes. It's just endlessly sunny down here. It might rain a little on Tuesday.

I got a little rain today too. It didn't last long, but I'll take every drop I can get.

I told you you would get rain this month. I put in the order in January, and was assured that it would happen, especially if there's lots of pink tu tu dancing!
